Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco held Monday, October
2nd,192a.
The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by Trustee~ G.W.Holston, President of the
Board.
ROZL CALL.
Roll call founi al} Trustees present, to-wit;
Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach,L.G.Hardy Jr., H.Scampini and G.W.Holston.
The minutes of the pre~ious were read and upon motion of Trustee Scampini seconded by Trustee
Hardy and regularly carried were approved as read.
A communication was received from Ralph Herschke] asking permission to construct an addition
to his house, ~614 Grand Avenue. Permit Granted.
A requgst was received from the Buffalo Club asking permission to hold a dance in Fraternal
Hall until 2 A.N 0c~ober mist,1922. Request denied.

A comnanication was received from Bernard licOaffrey Post, ~85, American , asking the Board's
permission to hold Carnival in South San Francisco November loth llth, and lath,next. It was decided
to lay the matter over until the next meeting of the Board.
The report of the Auditor on the City s books for the fiscal year ending June 30th,19££ was
received. The certificate of audit showed all moneys collected properly accounted for and the report
was accepted by the Trustees.
The clerk was instructed to write to the Fontana Food products Company notifying them to re-
placethe sewer from the line of the Pacific Car & Equipment Co's property to the Fontana Company's prop-
erty.
Peter Miarani, representing the Liberty Band, asked for a permit to hold a dance at Fraternal
Hall Saturday evening,October 7th, 19a£. Granted.
The C~erk was instructed to write the South S.F.Land & Improvement Co. asking that they deed
to the City a strip of land 8o feot wide for a right of way for a road from the south end of Linden
Avenue to Tan Forsn, according to the Kneese sur~ey.
The reports of the City Earshal, City ~ecorder, City Nurse, Fire Chief and Clerk for September
next.read,The report of the City Recorder showed collections of $2.00 for the month, while the report
of the City Clerk showed the following balances in the various funds,- General ftmd, $12,199.32, '

Total balance in all funds, ~a5,567.70. On motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Eschelbach
the reports were accepted as read.
The following claims against the City were then presented for payment;-

The bills having been approved by the finance committee Trustee Eschelbach moved they
be paid. The motion was seconded by Trustee Hardy and regularly carried.
There being no further business before the Board Trustee Cunningham moved to adjourn
until the nezt regular meeting, Nonday, October 16th, 192~, at 7;30 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded
by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried.
