The meeting was called to order by-Trustee G.W.Holston, President of the Board.at ?;30'o"clock Roll Call. Roll call found ~ the fotlowing Trustees present, to-wit; Trustees A..J.Eschelbaoh.. J.W.Pitt, H.Scampini and G.W.Holston. Absent, Trustee ~.A.Cunningham. Trustee Cunningham a~peared after roll call.. The minutes of the previous me,ting were read and upon motion of Trustee Pitt seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly carried were approved as read. A petition was received from the Italian Bbard of Relief ~sking ~ermission to hold a dance and- carn£val Saturday evening April 21st and Sunday. April 22. Granted, A communication was received from PeteM.Petroff and Pete E.Deamatroff asking permission to store two five hundred gallon tanks of gasoline in the premises at the S.W. corner of Linden Avenue Extension and San Bruno Road. Business of this 'kind being restricted in this neighborhood the Board decided to amend the Ordinance covering the territory to admit of such business, and so advised the $ity Attorney. .~Action ,on the petition was .postponed until the 0~dinance can be amended. A communication was received from Carrie'E, Winterhalter asking the Board to set aside ten per cent of the colleAtions from misdemeanor cases to be placed in a welfare fund for Public Health Service. The Borad was advised hy the City Attorney that this procedure would be unconstitutional, and the communication was ordered filed. Fire Chief Truax appeared before t'he Board and asked that the Board go on record as favoring statenappropriation for f£re boat service, and that the Board send letters of endorsement of AsSembly Bill ~68 to Senator M.B.Jo.hnso~ and Assemblyman Frank. L.EC'ksward. The Clerk was instructed to prepare and forward the endorsement~ as suggested. Applications for soft grink licenses accompanied by bonds were received from Viette& Thatcher, J.Eikere~kotter, Pardini & Ferrari, Enrico Ghila~tdi, and Luigi Bartoli. The licenses were gramted by the following vote;- Ayes, Trustees, F.A.C,m~inghamA.J.EsChelbach, J.W.Pitt. H.Scampi~i, G.W.Holston, Noes, Truste.es, None. Absent, Trus.tees, None. The reports .of the City Treasurer', Fire Chief, C'~ty Recorder., Health Officer, City Marshal, Building. Inspector and City Clerk, for the month endingMarch 31st were next read. The report of the City Recorder showed.collections of $?38.50.
