Pursuant tc adjournnent the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco met in regular adjourned session in the City Hall on October 29th,!9£3. The meetir~ was called to order at ?:~0 o'clock p.m. by G.W.Holston, President of the Board of Trustees. There were present the following Tr~stees; A.J.Eschelbach,F.A.Cunningham, O.~.Holston,J.W.Pil and H.Scampini. The minutes of the previous meeting were read an8 u~on motion by Trustee Cunningham seconded Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried ~ere approved as read. An application was received from Ruth Chapter asking ~ermission to hold a dance in Fraternal ~all on Wednesday evening, October Zlst,I92Z. Permit Granted. An a~plication for ~ permit te hold a dance in Fraternal Hall Saturday eve, November l?th, next was~received from Antone Mader~s and Claude Wood. Referred ~o the City Marshal. An application for a permit to construct a fire proof building ~x?~, on th~ corner of Third street and Mission Road, Town of Baden, was received ~rom Gendot and Douste. Refers'ed to the Buildin~ Inspector. The ~acific Telephone and ~ele~r~v,h Co wrote concerning their request to place a pole, anchoz and underground pipe on the west side ~ Butler Road, South of San Bruno Road. The clerk was instructed to answer stating the permit is granted. The Pacific ~as & E~ectric Co made application for permission to set.one pole on Olive Avenu~ eight ~oles on Park ~ay and Mamle Avenue and three poles on Butler Road,to su~!y new homes. Refer~e~ to the street committee. The report of the Auditors of the city's books, Rump & Bailey, was received and accepted. Th~ recommended that the City Clerk office be provided with a revolving fund of ~lO0, and that additional street assessment books be ~rovided on accotunt of the increasing number of street assessment series. The recommendations were favorably considered by the Board. On motion of Trustee Cunninghan , regularly carried, the report of the anditors on the City'~ books was ordered published in the Enterprise, the cost of the same not to exceed the sum of ~20.00. R~SOLUTION The fo!!ov, ing resol~tion was introduced by Trustee Cunningham;- Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that said City purcha~ of the Ch~mber of Commerce of South San Francisco~advertising space on which advertising matter appr~ riately setting forth the advantages of South San Francisco shall be Risplayed for one year on sign boards to be erected at the following places: One at the intersection of Nission Road and State Highway, one near the north boundary lin~ of said City at San Bruno Road, and another at the intersection of San Bruno Road and ~inden Avenue sa~d City, and that sa~d City pay to said Chamber of Commerce of South San Frsncisco~a sum of monay to exceed ~ive Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars I$~£~.001 therefor when such sign boards shall have b~ erected and such advertising displayed thereon, and pay to said ~hamber of Commerce Thirty Dollars ($80.00) per month, payable monthly at the end of each month, for electrical illumination of said si~ during every night of one year fol!owing~the erection of such sign boards. -O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adoptod by the Board of Trustees of the L~ty of South San ~rancisco this E9th day of OCtober, 19~, by the followinf vote: Ayes, Trustees F.
