The regular meeting of the Bo~rd of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held in
the City Hall Monday evening January 4th,1926.
The meeting was called to order at 7;00 o'clock '~.R. by Trustee H.F.McNe!]is, President of t
Board.
ROLL CALL.

,~e previous meeting were read and there being no errors or omissions were ap'
as read.
A communication was received from Fire Chief Truax asking that the board petition Governor
Richardson and Wi]!iam T ?herren, n, President of the State Board of Harbor CoNm:issioners, to use thei:
weight and influence to maintain the two fire boats of the San Francisco Fire department in the San
Francisco Harbor, which boats are threatened w~i'sh retirement on account of lack of funds for mainten~
The cRer~ was instructed to forward letters of request from the Board of Trustees to this end.
Application was nude by Teresa- Idorazzini, ~ecretary of the Sacred Heart Society, for permiss'
to ho]d a social dance in Fraternal Hall Saturday evening, 4anuary ~Oth 1926. Permit granted.
F.~!.Wcrthington, Superintendent of the Southern Pacific Company replied to the~ city's letter
of inquiry relative to the installation of track crossings in Los Ceritos at Orange Avenue smd Third
street, stating the easement had been prepared smd would be submitted to the city during 1, he week. Fi'
Permission was asked by the Italian 0perario Society of th~s city to hold dances in Fraterna[
Hal January 16th and January 25, next, . Permit gr~nted. Permission to hold a dance in Fraternal Hall

Saturday evening February l~th next was requested by the South San Francisco U.A.0D. ~"
The dances were ordered allowed to continue until ! A.~,i.
James H.Davidson made application to construct s 10 x 16 foot concrete floorfra~-~e and corrig~
~arage at ~09 Miller Avenue, for private car. ~ormit granted.
Application was made by the ?~mchel ~ Peffer Iron Works for r, er~.:i~' si on to erect a service St~
building st 1246 San Bruno Road. Referred to the Fire Chief, Police Chief and Building Inspector.

would be sufficient to comoRete the work.
The question, of the proposed bond election i'or city improvements wa~~ next taken up. Ail trusts
present favored the calling of the bond election on lhe new regular election day, with <he exception
of trustee Eschelbsch who stated he did not think m~icip&l election election day was the proper day
bond elections Mr Fred Gump, Secretary of %he Ca]i~crnm~ Golf and Country Club appeared befor,'~ th
board and w~s int~0duced by Attorney John F%~Davis. Yr. Gump nude sn eloquent plea for the issuance of
bonds for the extension and completion of Orange Avenue. ne stated his company %~'~as s~ding tH~lf a m
ion dollars on their ~rounds cud buildings, after the con~letion of which their nearest market would

lines, favoring the bond issue. The matter will be token u?~ at the next meeting of the board.
