The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held' in the Ci%y Hall Monday evening, December 20th,1926. The meeting was called to order at ?;Z0 o'clock p.m. by trustee F.A.Cunningham, President of the Board. ROLL CALL. Roll call found ~he following trustees present,'to-wit~ Trustees, Lloyd, Minucciani, Tibbe Cunningham. Absent,Trustee Eschelb~ch. Trustee Eschelbach appeared after roll call. Communications were received from the Pacific Gas & Electric Company asking permission to set poles on C street, Town of Baden, and Acacia and Orange Avenues, ~lap of South San Francisco. Permission granted. ~ ~resident Cunningham received a communication ~rom the Market Street Railway Company stati they would attend to ~he removal of poise on Grand Avenue at an early date. Referring to the removal of a pole in the rear of ~67 Miller Avenue, the Pacific e±epnone and Telegraph wrote stating they had given orders ~o the field force to have the same removed. A communication was received from the seven directors of the Fraternal Hall Association recomuending that a soft drink and pool room license be granted Rechard E.Setter for the basement of the Fraternal Hall, having leased the premises to. himfor a period of three years. Laid over until s future meeting. A communication was redeived from Pete Uchelli, asking for a refund of $?.~0, charged in ~ bill $54, stating there is no house on the property assessed. Laid over for investigation. A corr~unication was received from R.Corrudetti stating he w~s assessed, too much for the p~ lot 29, block 140, Map of South San Francisco, and asked for a refund. Laid over for investigation. Mrs. Francis Garcia, secretary of the South San Francisco Library Board, wrote a communics to th~ Board of Trustees stating Mrs. Switzer of the Library Board had not attended any meetings, an had probably moved to another town. Laid over until a future meeting. The report of the school nurse for the months of September, October and November was recei an6 accepted. This being the date set for the hearing of protests against assessment ~86,President Cunni asked if there were any persons present who wished to object to the assessment, or any objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment. There being none Trustee Tibbetts introduced a resolution confirming the assessment. The resolution was ado?ted by the unanimous vote of the boar~,to-wit,Ayes Trustees, ESchelbaCh, Lloyd, Minucciani,,Tibbetts, Cunningham. Noes, Tru~ees none. Absent,Trustees Attest, Daniel McSWeeney, City ~lerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions. ~ol. 2, at page 129. The affidavit of postin~ o~ notise, filing of assessment and time of hearing was submitted to the bo the City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions, vol.2, at page 1Z0. The applications of E.Zaro,H. A.Deline,M.Hogan,J.V.Ron,R.Fahhima,and Annette Fourie for a refund on account o~ weed ta~ paid were taken up and on motion by Trustee Lloyd seconded hy Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried v~re ordered refundod in the ~otal amount of ~6.67. ~ The fire. commission reported serious d~mage done to ~he boiler in the fire roum on account carelessness and recommended the position of fireman Bernardo ~e declared vacant and a successor app On motion regularly carried the position o £ireman Bernard~was declzred vacant, ~nd on ~otion regul carried Lawrence. Nieri was appointed to the vacant position. President Cunningh~m cal~ed the attention o~ Engineer~Elassen to the fact that the overf!o still co, tin,es at Orange & Grand Avenues. Engineer El~ssen will bring the matter to the attention o City Engineer Kneese.
