HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1927-02-21248 REGULAR M~ETING OF THE BOARD 0P TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD L!0NDAY,FEB.21ST, 1927. The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Monday evening, February 21st,1927. The meeting was called to order st ?;Z0 o'clock p.m. by Trustee F.A.Ounningham, President of the Board. ROLZ CALL. Roll call found all Trustees present, to,wit;- Trustees, Eschelbach, Lloyd, Minucciani, Tibbetts, Cunningham, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read. The South San Francisco Grove of Druids made application for permission to hold a Parade on the afternoon of April 24th next, and a dance in the evenin~ from 8 to 12 o'clock. Permission granted. The Italian American Citizen's Club made application for permission to hold a Bg~ner dedication and three days celebration, July 2,3,and 4th, a ball each evening and parade on July 4th. AlSo permission to have a few concessions with home talent managing. Permission granted. A communication was received from the North Central Development Association of Long Beach, California asking the board to endorse an amendment to the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925 and the Street Improvement Act of 1911, relating to annexed territory. Referred to City Attorney Coleberd for investigation and advice. A communicati n was received from _ A contract by the Oakland California Towel Company for signature was laid over until the next meeting. An application for a soft drink license was received from Louis Cantoni, hotel Castilla, Z14 Linden Avenue, haveing purchased the business, Permit granted. Dr. Louis L.Brown, State Inspector, Bureau of Dairy Control, S~ate Board of Health, appea~ed before the board and ~dvocated the adoption of an ordinance regulating the sale of milk and cream and providing for milk inspection. After ~iscussion it w~s decided to refer the subject to the city attorney for his inspection of a propssed ordinance and advice. The motion was seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried. There being no £urtherbusiness before the board Trustee Tibbetts moved to adjourn until The ~otion was secondhand by trustee Monday evening, February 28th,1927, at 7;30 o'clock p.m. Minucciani and regularly carried.
