The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Eonday,' August 1st, 1927. In the absence of Mayor Eschelbach Councilman Reese Lloyd was selected as Acting ~ayor, ~nanimously. The meeting was called to order at~?;Z0 o'clock p.m. by Councilman Reese Lloyd, acting as ~ayor of the city. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following Coumcilmen present, to-wit;- Councilman, Hynding, Lloyd, ~Iinucciani, Tibbetts. Absent, Councilman, Mayor Eschelbach. The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilman Tibbetts moved~thay be approved as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman ~iinucciani and regularl~ carried· WA petition was received from a mnuber of residents and property owners along ~iller Avenue between Eucalyptus and Chestnut Avenues, asking~that a si~ inch hydrant be installed at the intersectL~ of ~iller and Laurel Avenues for the protection of house~,etc in the vicinity, Referred to the fire 'commission. An applicatio~ for a buildin~ permit was received from Galli & Pariani, reguestin~ permission to erect a four r0om~cot%age on the rear of lot 25, block 1~0. Referred to ~he building InspectOr. Fire Chief Costa~ in a communication ~o tke board, recommended fire ~ydrants be placed at iJilZer and Laurel Avenues, Orange Avenue and alley north of ~diller Ave., evc. Referred to the fire Commission. The monthly reports of the Fire Chief, Police Chief and building Inspector were received read~. and accepted. 0RDINA!ICE N0.
