The regular meeting of the City CounCil of the City of South San Francisco was held in the
City Hall Tuesday evening, January Zrd,19E$.
The meeting~was called to ordergt ~:Z0 o'clock p.m. by councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Eayor
of~South San Francisco.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following members, of the council present, to-v~it;-
Councilmen, R.Lloyd, I,,[.idinucciani, R.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach.
Absent;, Councilman, A.Hynding. Councilman Hynding a]~peared after roll call.
The minutes of th~ previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilman
Tibbetts moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman Minucciani a~nd regularly
carried.
The Marbelite Corporation of America reylied to the city's letter requesting them to rectify
a,~efect in the height of the electrolier at i.~ap!e ~.nd Grand Avenues, recently erected by them. They
agred to change poles suitable to the eity. Councilman H~nzding will take charge of the installation
under the directions of the l~arbelite Company.
I~.[rs. Xate Maynard made application for a clerical position on the election board. Apl~,lication
.place~ on file.
The monthly re~orts of the fire and police chiefs were read and accepted.
On request of the council the clerk submitted.a report showing no fallen building clause
nor earthquake clause attached to the insurance policies on the city hall or Library buildings,.
Also showin~ the Chief of Police ~mder bonds&"the clerk and the treasurer.
I,[ayor Eschelbach stated all city employees handling'city monies should be under bonds and
asked the opinion of the council in the matter. All city Councilmen agreed that this ahould be done.
Ac'cordindly a committee consisting of Councilmen H~mding, Minucciani and Lloyd v;as appointed to look
into all phases of the city's insurance and bonds of employees.
Councilman ~ynding reported no meeting yet on the sign board situation.. He stated in relation
to the purchase of plants that quotations would be submitted in the near future.
The question of the yaving of Grand Avenue E::tension was taken up with engineer Claussen.

The claims having been audited by the finance com::~ittee Councilman
The motion was seconded by councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
There being no further business before the meoting Councilman Einucciani moved to adjourn
until Wednesday evening, ~anuary 4th, 1928, at ~;30 o'clock p.m. ~he motion was seconded by
Councilman Tfbbetts and regularly carried.
