A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Monday evening, March 1Sth, 1928. The meeting was called to order at 7;Z0 o'clock p.m. by councilman A.J.Eschelbach, of South San Francisco. ROLL CALL. ! Roll call found all members of the council present, to-wit;- Councilmen A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, M.~inucciani,R.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach. The minutes of the previous meeting w'ere read. There being no errors or omissions Councilman Hynding moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman Lloyd and regularly carriei A communication was r~:ceived from George '¢iishing, ~Z9 Commercial Avenue, suggesting a system of naming the alleys. Referred to the committee on prizes for the best suggestions. The Pacific Gas & Electric Company requested permission to set poles on Walnut Avenue. Referre~ to the street committee. A communication was received by ~.~ayor Eschelbach' from the South San Francisco Land & Improveme~ Company stating they had come to an agreement with the Pacific Water Company in regard to the e~tension of ~:ater service in the new Parkway Subdivision. Accepted and placed on file. Joseph ,Wagner, e~-service man, m~de application for permission to sell cookies with a free license. Referred to th~ police commission. An acknowledo~nent v~as received from E.R.Anthony of the Southern Pacific Compan~mto the city's request to improve the condition of the company's tracks at Grand Avenue and its junction with Swift. Avenue. ~r. Anthony stated he ~xpected to give the city a definite reply s~ortly. The application of Joe Smeit for ~ soft dri~ license ~t ~7 Grand Avenue w~s acted upon favorably by the police co~ission, and the license granted. Jo~ F~tada, representing the Roygt M.A.B society w~s grated permission to hold Ch~arita cel, ~nd d~ce in thi~ city of April ~8 and ~9 ne~t.. ..In the matter of rezoning g section of M~ple and Baden Avenues to include s~me in the business district, Hayer Eschelbaci~ stated it was ~ serious m~tter, but would be 'given f~ther consideration. The motion was secconded by co~xucilman Tibbetts and regularly carried. There being no further busineBsbefore the meeting Councilman Lloyd moved to adjourn until Thursday morning, ~pril 15th,1928 at ll o'clock A.E.
