The regular meeting of the City Council of the Cit~ of Oouti~ ban Francisco was held in the City Hall
l...~'onday evening, October ~lst, 1929.
The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'cloc}: p.m. b~. Councilman A.J.Eschelbach,
Eayor of ~;outh San Francisco. Councilman Hynding acted, as cleYk pro tern i~: the absence of clerk

Corrudetti Brothers made application for permiasion to enlarge the restaurant on
the Southwest Corner of Grand ~nd Cypress Avenues. They were instructed to secure clans and specifi-
cations for the work to, be done and present sa~e to the council.
The Panama Pacific Exposition Lodge F5 made apI~lication to hold a dance in ?rater-
nsl Hall Eob'ember f4th next, dancing to continue until one A.~,[. Permit Granted.

the council~ s~ating :a~commltte~of their bod~ had been ap[ointed to core,er with the council re,ar-
ding fire Chief J.Costa and asked for a private inter~iew. Granted. -
~i%io Eieri appeared before the council and stated the alley back of the hodondi
and 5afeway stores had never been properly repaired where the plumber had torn up the concrete for
the sewer connectiom. The clerk u~as instructed to Yrite Hickey & Oon~:, and request that proper repairs
be made immediately.
Joe Fernandez made ap~lication for a soft drink and ~ool room license for the location
"f20 Grand Avenue. iqeferred to the police comn"ission.
Counci%msn Tibbetts introSmced a re?o~.~:tion accepting a deed fram the ~outh San
Francisco Land ,i Improvement Co;'for o;.034~ae?es of land~ in the matter of the fire house site. The
resolution was adobe, ted b$~ all t~e votes of the councilmen present, to-~ it;-
