CALL TO ORDER 7:00 p.m. (Cassette Tape No. 1)
ROLL CALL Present: Boardmembers Fernekes, Green and
Matsumoto, Vice Chairman Gonzalez and
Chairman Mullin.
Absent: None.
AGENDA REVIEW No changes.
PUBLIC COMMENTS None.
CONSENT CALENDAR
i. Motion to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2001 regular meeting
2. Motion to confirm expense claims of December 12, 2001 in the amount of $41,003.73
3. Motion to cancel regular meeting of December 26, 2001
4. Motion to accept the South San Francisco Health Center, 306 Spruce Avenue, as
complete in accordance with plans and specifications
Motion-Gonzalez/Second-Fernekes: To approve the Consent Calendar as presented.
Unanimously approved by voice vote.
ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
5. Resolution authorizing the execution of a loan agreement for the seismic retrofit of the
Flow Building, 381-385 Grand Avenue, in an amount not to exceed $100,000
Staff report presented by Housing & Community Development Manager Fragoso.
Mr. Bob Clayton, representing the property owner, stated his agreement with the staff
report. In response to Boardmember Matsumoto, Mr. Clayton stated that the building's
design will be compatible with the downtown area.
In response to Chairman Mullin, staff confirmed that this is one of the last buildings in
the downtown area to be retrofitted; another structure remains on Linden Avenue that
currently does not meet seismic standards.
Motion-Gonzalez/Second-Fernekes: To approve Resolution No. 08-2001, authorizing the
execution of the necessary documents for a loan to the Flow Building in an amount not to
exceed $100,000. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion-Fernekes/Second-Matsumoto: To adjourn the meeting at 7:07 p.m. Unanimously
approved by voice vote.
