CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING AN EXISTING SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH WASTEWATER SOLIDS
MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR THE CLEANING OF
DIGESTER NO. 2 AND ONSITE DEWATERING IN AN
ADDITIONAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $139,690; FOR A
TOTAL AGREEMENT OF $159,690
WHEREAS, on July 1, 2014, the City executed a services agreement with Wastewater
Solids Management Company of Lincoln, California, to provide Digester No. 2 cleaning in an
amount not to exceed $20,000; and
WHEREAS, after recognizing the larger scope of work required, the City of South San
Francisco ("City") staff requested a revised proposal from Wastewater Solids Management
Company of Lincoln, California to clean Digester No. 2; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of amending the existing services agreement
with Wastewater Solids Management Company of Lincoln, California for additional work for
onsite dewatering of solids in Digester No. 2 in a total amount not to exceed $139,690; and,
WHEREAS, the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2014-2015
Sewer Enterprise Fund Operating Budget and sufficient funds have been allocated to cover the
Project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the amendment of the existing services
agreement with Wastewater Solids Management of Lincoln, California to include the dewatering
solids from Digester No. 2 in a total amount not to exceed $139,690.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the services agreement on
behalf of the City upon timely submission by Wastewater Solids Management Company signed
contract amendment and all other required documents, subject to approval as to form by the City
Attorney.
