The regular meetinm of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in
the City Hall Nonday evening, November l$th, lg~S.
The meeting was called to order at 3 o'clock p.m. by Hayer D.W.Ratto.

Under the head of unfinished business the request of the Zacific O s i:,: Electric Co,
for permission to lay maids,in certain streets,referred to Councilman Es~'~helbach,-was cranted.
The request of Louis E. Ooeoken, Chairman of t~e San ~'~ateo County Board of Health
~ t~_~ co~uaty ordinance, referred to
to the city council to ~oass a milk ordinance similar to
City Attorney Coleberd, a:nd report not ready.
In the matter of the -:rammar school ins:)ect~on by the .~ealt~: and buildinz inspectors,
Dr.McMills reported there is now ?~o da~-~_~_~er from syohona,~e ~ince extra standpipes were installed,
and Superintendent of the wat'er company,, Mr. Enderl!n reported watchin~ the pre~sure.

referred to the health officer,building inspector and city attorney, Dr. Mc].~ills re,vetted he had
notified the st,re Board of Health about the premises ~nd the they sent men there ,who ordered
the place closed up or .out in order ~mmediately. He stated ~,ir. Firenze began to comply with city
and state rezulations at once.
Under the head of New Business Councilman Eschelbach requested that the city clerk be
instructed to ask the 'Pacific Qas & Electric Company representative to confer with him in the
matter of proposed lights in Peck's Subdivision. So ordered.
Councilman Eschelbach stated he wishe to lay aside his motion of a previous.meeting
to pass an ordin~n~e ~chargin~ the Baden Kenn. el Club ~1~0 a day"for racin~ dozs and substitute
one callir~f~ for ~280 a day~ a?d asked f. or its introduction. After discussion it was a~reed by
all councilmen to lay the matter over till a later date. ~.ouncil~au Eschelbach was of the o~in[on

Rat6o stated action on ~other mc~:ter should be taken at the time of oa~sing an'ordinance calling
for ~250 per day,
Under the head of Good and Welfare Counci!man Eschelbach stated all maps of sewers
and other city work should, be up to date and in the City Clerk's office. Engineer Klasses was of
the opinion they were.
Councilman Mager stated the time was near to bezin thindcing of the Christmas Celebra:ion
and action should be taken to keep abreast of past :fears~ as mana,~ed by Fire Chief Welte. The Fare
Chief stated he would do his best a~ain, but would need assistance this ~ear on account of .the
i~crease of buildin~ inspection duties,etc.
There being no further busine:s before the council ?~ayor Ratto called for a motion to
adjourn. Councilman Minucciani moved the meeting ad,iouen. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Eschelbach and recularly carried.
