A regularly adjourned special meet~_n~ of the city ~ncfl of the Oit[ of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall, Saturday m~rnin~~, January ~7,1940 This meeting was cs!led to order at 10 o'clock A ~/ by i~syor A J.Escnelbacb ROLL CALL. Roll call found all city co'~;ncilmen present,as follows;- Oouncflmen,V.Boido,A.J.~schelbach, I~,~.~inuccis.n!~ D.Y~.Ratto, Rod Tibbetts. The reading of t e minutes of the two previous meetings was d~spense5 with. ~'Tayor Eschetbach announced that the principal subject of the meeting was the matter of the abatement of the nuisance on East Grand Aw.hue caused by manure,straw and other re~se being washed down on the avenue from the United kackin? Co~pany's plant. ~r. A.C.Free~sn of the packing company appeared before the board, by reouest, and offered his solution of t~e problem, l~e offered to build a concrete wall st his property line,together with a wooden fence with holes to catch waste matar~al ao~in~-~ from bis yards,after df~'~n~ s dit~ to control the to be built by him.
