A regularly adjourned meeting of-the c~ty council of the city of South San Francisco I,,,~a.. ch 6, 1940. was held in the city hall Wednesday evening ''~ ~ The meeting was called to order by ~iayor A. J. Eschelbach at V o'clock p. m. Roll call found the followin~ members of the council present. Councilmen V. Boido~ Rod Tibbetts, A. J. Eschelbach, D. W. Ratto and ~i. ~'.~inucciani. The reading of the mfnutes of the previous meeting was c]ispensed with. F ' Councilman Boido introduced a resolution of the city of South San rancmsco author- izing the City Engineer to proceed with the necessary work of repairing the sewer extending from a manhole in Oak Avenue in a southeasterly direction into Commercial Avenue. The resolution was aSopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council, as follows: Ayes, Councilmen V. Boido, Rod Tibbetts, D. W. Ratto, ~[. ~.iinucciani, A. 2. Eschelbach. Councilman Tibbetts introduced a resolution of the citl? of South o~.n ~rancmsco adopting the plans and specifications for the construction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters alo~ the westerly side of Bayshore Highway between Armour smd Chapman Avenues. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council as follows:. Ayes, CounciLmen V. Boido, Rod Tibbetts, D. W. Ratto, ~.~. ?~'!inucciani, A. J. Es chelb ach. Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen, None Attest: Daniel McSweeney, City Clerk by Elizabeth 0ttenfield, Deputy Recorded in book of Resolutions Vol. 3 at page 245. Councilman Boido brought up the question of the water coming down over the hill in the rear of ~,~ilani's property on Bayshore Highway. ~arshall said inasmuch as this is private property the city could do nothing. He was requested to contact the Land Compan~ however, and ask them to put in a culvert to carry off the water running down from their property. The matter of fixing the roadway betweaathe bus terminal and the United Railroad car line was discussed. J:mgineer ~darshall was instructed to contact the United Railroads and see what they will do about fixfn~ this strip of roadway. Mayor Eschelbach reported that Mr. Reynolds of the State Highway was goi~7 to put checkers on the Bayshore Highway to get a count on cars 7oing to and from the Western Pipe. Chief Belloni stated that two men were already taking count at Butler and Bay- shore. There being no further business before the council, Councilman Ratto mo~ed to adjourn to the next re~gular meetin~q. The motion was seconded by Councilman I'~linucciani and duly carrie d.
