A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco was held in the city hall, Monday evening, June 24,19~0. This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. by Mayor George W.Holston. ROLL CALL. -Roll call found the following members of the council present,as follows;- Councilmen, V.Boido, George W.Holston, D.W.Ratto,Reese Lloyd, · Absent $ Councilman Rod Tibbetts. Councilman Tibbetts appeared after roll call. The reading of the minutes of the previous meetings was dispensed with. RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ADDITION TO LIBRARY~#V6~. Councilman Ratto introduced a resolution of th$ City of South San Francisco awarding the contract to construct an addition to the library, The resolution was adopted by the followi' vote;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido,George W.Holston, Reese Lloyd, D.W.Ratto. Noes, Councilmen, None. Absent, Councilman, Rod Tibbetts. Attest Daniel McSweeney~ City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions, Vol.3, at pages 263 and 264. ORDINANCE NO. An ordinance repealing ordinance No. 194 of the City of South San Francisco entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF TP~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN ~RANCISCO ADOPTING TH~ UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 193V EDITION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0.189 entitled~*'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIT~ OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ADOPTING THE UNI~DRM BUILDING CODE 1935 EDITION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 148 OF SAID CITY O~ SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITk OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ADOPTING THE UNI~ORM BUILDING CODE 192~ EDITION ADOPTED BY THE PACIFIC COAST BUILDIN~i~ OFFICIALS CONFERENCE AT THE SIXTH ANNUAL ANNUAL MEETING OCTOBER , 192V' ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 1~,1928," was introduced by councilman Lloyd, had its first title reading and was laid over to come up at the next reg- ular meeting of the council. ~ ~ ORDINANCE NO., An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF TP~ CITE OF SOUTH SAN FRAf~CISCO ADOPTING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1940 EDITION",mas introduced by councilman Boido, had its first title reading and was laid over to come up under the regular order of business at the next regular meeting of the city council. A communication was received from the South San Francisco Library Trustees inviting the city council to attend their meeting Monday, July lst,at 4 o'clock P.M. Some objections were expressed at the 4 o'clock time of meeting,all councilmen being busy at this time of day, hut the invitation was accepted. Councilman Tibbetts brought up the matter of sinkin6 a well for lawn and sprinkling purposes at the Orange Avenue Park. He was in consultation with a well borer now engaged in this vicinity, and was informed the work could be done for about $10 a foot~ and recommended that engineer Marshall secure all figures necessary to install a well system of irrigation for the park. So ordered. City attorney Coleberd was instructed to,prepare the papers necessary to calling for bid~ to paint the outside of the city hall and varig us rooms inside. There being no further business before the board Councilman Lloyd moved to adjourn until Monday ~evening, July lst,1940,at 8 o'clock P.A.
