COUNCIL OF TP~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 23,1942.
A regularly adjourned meeting of t?e city council of the City of South San Francisco
was held in the city hall,Thursday afternoon, April 23,1942.
This meeting was called to order by Mayor D.W.Ratto at four o'clock P.M.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following members of the city council present;-
V.Boido, George W.Holston,Reese Lloyd,~.Minucciani,D.W.Ratto.
A number of ~epresentatives of property owners on Butler Avenue appeared before the
board with reference to the condition of that avenue. They stated it was in a dangerous condt
tion to travelers and motorists and wanted it put in condition to make it passable and safe.
They also requested the parking conditions be improved by the city authorities to relie
congestion and danger of accidents, to facilitate travel.

d$cided to frame a letter in conjunction with engineer Klassen to the Southern ~acific Compan

plant his police force was unable to control it. Chief of police Belloni stated the driver
of machines pa~ no attention to signs, warnings,notices,or tags. City attorney Coleberd belei
if stiff fines were imposed they would pay more attention-to warnings, such as large notices
"NO PARKING HERE","MOVE ON", etc.,
Some temporary work will be done by the city's~street eqquipment to get Butler Avenue in
better shape for travel.
There being no further business before the council, councilman Boido moved to adjourn
until ~onday, ~ay 4th,194~,at 8 o'clock P.M. The motion was ~econded by councilman Lloyd an
regularly carried.
