Call and waiver of notice of A special meeting of the City Council of the City of South San ~'~ancis¢o,of wt~ich the following is a copy;- The undersigned,members of tie city council of the City of South San Francisco, hereOy call a s'ioecial meting of said cit~ council to be held in the Council Chamber, &n the City hall of said city,on ~,ednesday, July qq,194~,at the hour of 7;05 o'clock P.~. for the p~r!i~ose of acting upon an application for blasting with explosives within -the City of South Sah Francisco ,and for the transaction of all other business which may regularly come before si'ad ci~ council; and we hereby waive notice of said meeting and consen~ t~ the transaction thereat of all such business as may regularly come befo~-.e Dated July ~q,194q;- said city coluncil, D.W.Ratto G.W.Holston E.Ninucciani Victor Boido. A special meeting of the city council of the City of Sout~ San ~rancisco was held in the City Hal~, Wednesday,July q~,194~. This ~eeting was called to order at ~$05 o'clock P.E. by ~ayor D.W.Ratto. ROLL CALL. Roll c~ll found the following members of the council present;- Counci~men,V.Boi~o,George W.Rolston,E.~inucciani , D.W.Ratto. " Absent, Reese Lloyd. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. An application was received from C.Dudley De Velbiss of Oakland, California requesting a permit to store and use powder in connection with his excavatin~ contract for the construction of a new shipyard at Belle Air Island near Mills Field, the p?oject being a prime war measure. The request stated the operations would be conducted under the supervision of modern technical experts, and t]ey stated they would require at least 60 days in which to comolete the work. City ~ttorney Coleberd advised, that permit could be granted now~wtth tt~e proviso that the work could not atart until the insurance pol~cy is approved,which would take only about one day. The amo~t of the policy was set at ~QS,000, and it was stiDulated the engineer would be notified ~f the time of sh~oting, and the ~'~olice department contacted with regard to the bp~ations. UnCer these conditions councilman Rolston moved the permit be granted.~he motion was seconded by e councilman ~inicc'ani and regularly carried. ~here being no further bUsinea~s before the council council m~n Boido moved to adjourn un~il the-next regular meeting Monday,August 3,1~q9., at 8 o'clock P.~. ~'he motion was seconded ResDe~t fully submitted, City~ Clerk~ by councilman Holston and regularly carried.
