HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 17-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 17-2015 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EMG CORPORATION OF WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $105,066, FOR SERVICES ON THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO COMPREHENSIVE FACILITIES CONDITION AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROJECT. WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Request for Proposals ("RFP") for the Comprehensive Facilities Condition and Needs Assessment Project("Project"); and WHEREAS, on November 10, 2014, staff received proposals from eight(8) firms; and WHEREAS, after reviewing the submitted proposals and interviewing five (5) firms, EMG Corporation was ranked highest based on their project understanding, qualifications and expertise, interview, and professional references; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends that the City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute the consulting services agreement for the Project with EMG Corporation ("EMG") of Walnut Creek, California in an amount not to exceed $105,066.00; and WHEREAS, funding for the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2014-2015 Capital Improvement Program ("CIP"). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the consulting services agreement for the Comprehensive Facilities Condition and Needs Assessment Project with EMG Corporation of Walnut Creek, California, in an amount not to exceed $105,066.00 conditioned on EMG's timely execution of the Project contract and submission of all require documents, including but not limited to, certificates of insurance and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the consulting services agreement on behalf of the City upon timely submission by EMG Corporation's signed contract and all other documents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25 day of February, 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pradeep Gupta, Karyl Matsumoto, and Liza Normandy Vice Mayor Mark N.
