A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall, Thursday evening, November 30,1944. This meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock P.~. by ~ayor George W.Holston. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following councilmen present; Councilmen,Victor Boido~ Charles K.Elder, George W.Holston,N.~inucciant. " Absent, Ivan M.Hays. Councilman Hays appeared after roll call. Copies of the minutes of the two previous meetings having been sent to the members of the council, ~ayor Holston asked~if any members of the board had noticed any errors or omission Hearing none he declared the minutes of both meetings approved as submitted. RESOLUTION N0.965. Councilman Boido introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City ofSouth Oan ~ Francieco enter~ ing'into a JOINT SEWEH AGREEmeNT,in the form of EXHIBIT "A", with the City of San Bruno. The resolution was adopted by the vote~of all the members of the city council, as follows;- A~es,Councilmen,Victor Boido,Charles K.Elder, Ivan M.Hays, George W.Holston, M.Minucciani. Councilman Elder introduced a resolution of the city council of the City of South San l~ancisco TD ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITR THE UNITED STATES OF A~ERICA AND THE CITY OF SAN BRUNO TO CONSTRUCT AN OUTSELL SEWER LINE AND PUMPIEG STATION. The resolution was adopted by the vo of all the members of the city council, as follows;- Ayes,Councilmen,Victor Boido,Charles K.Elder,Ivan M.Hays,George W.Holston,N.~inuccianl. Noes, Councilmen,None. Absent,Councilmen,None. Attest Daniel McSweeney City Clerk. Recorded in Book of hesolutions, Vol.3,at pages 448 to 4~9 RESOLUTION N0.967.0F AWARD. Councilman Hays introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco awarding the contract to Eaton & Smith to construct an outfall sewer and pumping station~ at the prices named in their bid. The resolution was adopted by the votes~of all the members of the city council,as follows;- Ayes,Councilmen,Victor Boido,Charles K.Elder, Ivan M.Hays,George W.Holston,M.Minucciani. Noes, Councilmen,None. Absent, Councilmen,None. Attest Daniel McSweeney Cit~ Clerk. Recorded in Book of resolutions, Vol.3 at pages 449 to 450 Chief of Police Belloni reported heav~' trucks with heavy loads c6ntinually~wearin~~ down the city s~e~oa~said restrictions should be enacted to control the traffic. En?ineer arwood coincided with this statement,and said that while South San Francisco has about ~he~Lbest~Js~reet in the county, the heavy t~affic is beginning to tell, and advised legal action in the wa~ of an' ordinance be resorted to. He and chief ~elloni will furnish data to the city attorney to be incorp~¥ated into an ordinance on the subject. Councilman Elder moved that the bond of NcGuire &Sester on the proposed sewer job be Fe~ returned to them. ~:he motion was seconded by councilman ~ays and regularl~ carried. There being no further business before the board councilman ~inucciani moved to adjourn until ~onday, December 4th,1944,at 8 o'clock P.~.
