A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San Francisco was held in t~e 6!ty Hall, Thursday evening,~'ebruary 8,1945. This meeting was called to order at V;~0 o'clock P.k. by kayor George W.Holston. ROLL CALL. Roll call found all members of the council present, as follows;- Councilmen ViCtor. Boido, Charles K.El~er, Ivan M.Hays, George W.Holston,M.Minucciani The readi,ng of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. i¥~r. Perry Liebman,of the firm"Arco Ouilding Company~appeared before the council' and a stated thay were negotiating for'piece of land west of the E1 C~mino ~eal,on Which to construct approximately 100 homes,~under ~ederal priority,and wished to secure connection with this city's sewers. As the ground they p~opose to bu~.ld upon is outside the city limits,they stated they are willing to ask for annexation to the city, if permission is granted to connect wLth the city.sewers. As to the cost of the sewers in the tract the company will add the price to the sale of the lots. f~he city decided to permit the company to connect ',~ ~.'i~ the city sewer system with the tract of land they are planning to subdivide ~nd develop for residential purposes, lying west of tLis city,when the tract has been annexed to the city, and the City Clerk was~directed to write to the company to that effect. The city engineers will determine which course to select for the outlet. A number of residents from Southwood attended the meeting to add to the number~ of protest- ants in that subdivision against'the cit~ granting the San ~ateo ~iounted Sheriff's Posse Club permission to connect with the city's sewer, in the event the San ~ateo County Planning Commission ~rants them a building permit to construct horse stables Gnma tract of 15 acres of land,near their homes. ~r. ~urray Norton, representing the Posse Club, stated he would like to present his side o£ the case for the applicants. ~e was recognized by ~ayor .Holston, and ?ave a statement of the proposed clenliness of the stables and surrounding property,together with pictures of the club's horses and paraphernalia. After much more opposition to the proposition it was decided to request the San ~ateo County Planning Commission to postpone action on the application of ~r. Haub,Jr, for two w~eks, and the Cit.~ Clerk was instructed to write the commission to that effect. Monsi?or~Tozziwas grantec~permission to~ave a public procession through the Civic Center Park Sunday, Feb. 11,1945 at 3.30 P.M. There ~eing no further business before the board,councilm~n Elder moved to adjourn until the ~xt regular meeting, Monday, February 19,1945', at 8 o'clock P.~.
