Copies of the minutes of-the previous meeting having been sent to all councilmen, ~¥;a~or holston asked if there w~_~re an~? errors or omissions noted. L.G.Perry submitted a request for an electronics license to repair electronics at ~08 Linden Avenue. Granted. A communication was received, from ~'~rs. C.Be]~lazzi, stat.in~ she has a quantity of dirt to be removed from her Baden property, lots l~ and 18,Block l~~. ~eferred to ~r. Larwood, A communication was received from Louis Beltramo,stating he wilt make repairs to the Central Lotel,~9 ~ayshore Highway for the sum of $880.0' Granted. -Ee was instructed to secure ~ license. ~'Ir. A.Soda ~ Son,applied for permission to construct an advertising sign 18' by ~$' on the~ ~roperty, corner of Linden ~v~nue and Old ~an Bruno Road. Granted. - Fire Cb~ief Welte subm~tted the name of John Brazi~ for appointment to the call forces of t~ fire department. Councilman Elder moved that t?~e appoihtment be cOnfirmed,without remuneration from the city.The motion was seconded by couneilman ~!inucciani and regularly carried. ~Foster ~ Kleiser submitted a statemen~ showing tkey had subscribed.the sum of .~880,~ar!~o: allocated to the City of South ~an Francisco. ~ayor Liolston stated b~e had notified Mr. John L.H~ of the allocation. · ~[r. Southerland.~'ianager of Pacific Gas ~ Electric Co.,stated he kad~received the city's le~ requesting the installation of new street lighting on Orange Avenue from ~Orand Avenue to E1 ~amino ~eal~ and had installed _the~ same. he stated that due to the shortage of ~'~a~tarms~ ha~ installed t]~e two units at ~aden and Commercial Avenues on the Standard Brackets. Report accepted. - A letter from ~'~r. Charles T.~roughton, ~orks Engineer of the city, stated the sewe~ to serw the property '~'~est of ~l Camino heal and the ~'ederal h~usingProperty north of Tanforan race trac~ .~as been completed b~ Peter Sorenson, and that the city should collect the sum of ~8800 from t~ ~ederal Public ~ousing Authority,and emclosed a tentative letter of request. ~ccepted. ~;~onthly reports were received from the Building inspector, Fire Chief, Police Chief,City Judge and 8ity Clerk, for the month ending June ~O,l~. Andrew Rocca of the Planning Commission, reported '. being ready with the plans and specifications for the recreation buil~ings, police buildings, fire department buildings, sewer~ and streets.~, He advocated s~?eed in the matter of t~e bo~d issue for the same. he stated the lo~ it goes, tha staler the problem gets. qhat the best time for the issue woul~ be in~Seo~ember,o~ before. ~r Coleberd bel~.eved that a too earl~~ start wo~ld endanger the proceeings, by ~ot givin~ t?'e people enough time to think the matters over, but in t~e end,agreed to t~e lOt~ay ~f Se~tem~ ~,'am[~ not ~'~. too early, z~e w~s instructed to ?~ave ?~s r~sotutiOns ready two ~eek~ f~om to-nig!t begin work on t?e projects. .~ In the matter of projects to be enumerated by t~e council,kay'or ~eor~e W.Hoiston.was of the opinion that it would take all five projects,$.-~a~ separately? Some members were of the opini~ that three would be sufficient to guarantee all projects. ~his was left in doubt~ a~ will be determined later by the cit~ council. ~r. Coleberd will empl~y a Short hanoi reporter on the job. Councilman Elder moved that the city accept t~e recommendations of the City Planning Commission,their plans and specifications, tent~tively. The motiou was seconded by councilman Boido and regularl~ carried. Ligh School Park Terrace will be t~.~e name of t~e new Subdivision. kr. ~ark Larwood reported th~at~a claim should be ~ent to t.; e City of San Bruno for.their share of the endineering costs, etc, of the propo~ed sewer in San ~runo,an~ South San~Francisc~ Le also reported the sidewalk sur~ey not ~.et complete. ~r. Andrew Rocca reported he wanted a tree taken out or ~r. Charles El~~. Referred to the Works engineer. · On motiOn by councilma~ ~inucciani ~.~.~,~-a-~a~®- the sum of .~000 was deducted from General ~h~nd and devoted to t~e · Li. brary~-~hnd. 52 Claims in the amount of $1~937.30 were next presented to the council for payment: Southern Pacific Co.
