A regularly adjourned meeting of the cit~ council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the Cit~~ ~all, ~uesday evening, July lOth,1945. This meetin~ was called to order at 7;~0 o'clock P.~. by ~ayor George W.Holston. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following named councilmen present,as follows.- Councilmen, Victor Ooido, Charles K.Elder, George W.Holston, ~.~iinucciani. " Absent, Councilman Ivan ~.Hays. Copies of the minutes of the two previous m~etings having been sent to the councilmen, ~,'iayor Holston asked if any errors or omissions were noticed. City attorney Coleberd noted that he was credited with having asked for a short-hand reporte~ to cost,$~5 toSZO,to take down notes from th, e Western Pipe ~ Steel ~.~en. He declared he wanted a transcript, only~Ordered c~an~ed. ~r. Elder noted teat the map of Southwood Commercial District was o~ly tentatively accepted when, ~e said, he asked for its approval. Ordered changed to the a~proval column. In the matter of acceptance of the plans and specifications for the High School Park~,~er: district, councilman Elder stated he would introduce a motion later for its acceptence. All feature changes scceoted and ~ayor Holston declared the minutes adopted as ~iark Larwood submitted a statement, in quard~u~l&O~$,for submission to the City of San Bruno, for its share of the Engineering Services on the joint sewer project. Ordered Sent to the City of San Bruno. . Chief of ~olice Belloni submitted the names of RarrF Gordon Sroufe,Oscar D[artin Ericson, ~tlliam O.Ch~dwick and ~lrs. Rosalie Grace, guards at the factories, for cancellation. Councilman ~lnucciani moved their naw~es be cancelled on the roll. ~he motion was seconde~ by councilman Boido and regularly carried. Louis melloni submitted the name of Daniel W.~anson for appointment as guard at the W~stern Pipe ~, Steel Company. Councilman Elder moved the appointment be confirmed,without remu] eration from the city. 1he motion was seconded Dy councilman ~!inucciani and regularly carried. A communication was received from Er. John J.~:itzger~[d, Regional Counsel for the Federal Public lousing ~uthority, 760 karke~ Street,San Francisco,California, forwarding four duplicate copies Of the agreement to b~:~ signed by kayor holston, and others, and returned to his office, todether with two copies of the minutes containing the agreement. Councilman kinucciani :introduced a resolution of the City Council of the Cit~ of South San Francisco, enterin~n~ntoethe agreement with the bnited States Of America to build the sewer in connection with the argeement. The resolution was adopted b~ the votes Of all th. members of the city council; present, as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen,Victor Boido, Charles K.Elder, George W.Rolston. ~!.~ilinucciani Noes, Councilmen,None Absent, Councilmen,Ivan E.Hays. ~ecorded in ~ook of hesolutions, ~ol.~, at page No.486. RESOLUTION NO.lOl$. ~he monthly reoorts of the Po~nd~as~er and City Treasurer for the month of June,1945, were received and aco~P~,~d. ' A communication was received from ~r. ~anuel Castro asking permission to construct a barn l~O0 feet southwards from ~iayfalr Villa~e, for six cows. ~fter deter~nation the city council decided to take no action on his request, and advised ~r. Castrb to see ~r. Shaw of tl South San Francisco Land ~. Improvement Company for advice. Councilman Elder report~ street,'corners being torn down by teamsters,and asked about the city erdinance on the marring of city property.'Ee was inform, d that there is am ordinance on the subject, and anyone found guilty can be punished by fines, or 'imprisonment,or both.
