Pursuant to call and waiVer,The ~ndersigned, members of the Cit~· Council of the City of South San Francisco,hereby' call a special meeting of sa~d City Council to be held in the Council Chamber in tLe City hall in said city on konday,the 10th day of December, 19~8, at the hour of 9;$0 o'clock P.~., for the purpose of considering and acting upon a protest against the establishment of a gasoline station on the southeast corner of Linden and ~aden Avenues, in the' City of South San Francisco, and also for the consideration of a posed adto court and trailer site in Peck's Lots; and we hereb~ waive notice of said meeting and consent to the transaction thereat of all such business as ma~ regularl~ come before said meeting. A special meeting of the Cit~ Council of the Cit~ of South San francisco was held in the City hall, ~onday, DeCember 10th,19~§, at 8 o'clock P.E. ~ayor Holston opened the meeting at 8 o'clock,and asked for the roll call. On roll call the following members of the council answered their nemes;- Councilmen, ~.kinucciani,Geor~e W.Eolston, Charles K.Elder, G.A.Anderson, Councilmen absent, Victor ~oido. ~'he city clerk, having forwarded copies of the minutes of the previous meeting to all members of .the cit~ council,~ayor holston asked if an~ one had noticed an~ mistakes or omissions, hearing none he deolare~ the minutes of the prc?ious meeting adopted as submitted. A communication was eeceived from P.R.Blight, asking for a transfer of the E. B.Court from its present location ~ Ba~shore Eishwa~, to a location on the hill at Peck's Lots. As the new location~is in the residential section of the city, kr. Blight was informed there wOuld have to be an amendment to tl~e Zonin~ Ordinance, and ~he matter was ?ostponed .... ntil the mext meeting of the city council, ~on~a~', ~ecember 1~,1945. kr. Andrew ~occa sub~itted a proposition of t~Te South City~ Land ~ Improvement Company, to sell to the cit~. of South San Francisco, a site for the Eecreation ~uVldings on the hill above the high School, for the sum of ~6,500 for 3.41~ acre,~arcel No.4 in Zone ~C". Referred to Works Engineer b~j councilman Elder,seconded by councilm~n ~inucciani and regularly carried. A petition si~ned by 60 residents,owners~, and tax payers was submitted to the City Council b~~ attorney Richard ~.Dolwig, in behalf of objectors ~gainst the establist~ent of a gasoline station at the corner of Linden Aven~e and oaden Avenue, the Southeast corner. Mr. Dolwig spoke st length on the obnoxious features of a gas station there, the loss of property interest in t~e community a.~d the loss in trade to other businesses, he was followed by Er. Eschelbach of the Royal hupply Company, who spoke of the great injustice do~e to tile property owners of the district~b~ the establish~ent of a gasoline station in their midst. ~ayor Polston, who had listened to the statements intentlN, finally ~ecided to write the company a letter asking' them ~to oostoone the building of the structureuntil next ~onday, ~ecember 1V, when City Attorne~ ~e~-.~&m~-- will be on hand. Accordingly,councilman Anderson moved that the Cit~ Clerk write the co~?any a letter Rskin~ them to delay constructicn of tile building until next ~onda~, December 1V,1945. fhe motion was seconded by councilman Elder and regularly carried, councilman ~inucciani not votin~. There bein~ no further business before the cou~cil, councilman Elder moved to adjourn until ~onday,December 1~,1945, at 8 o'clock P.E.
