Peninsula Division Lea~e of California Cities Notice of Peninsula Division League of Oalmfornia Cities dinner at the California Golf Club, South San Francisco, Thursday, March 21, 1946, at 6:30 p. m. was received. The Clerk was requested to advise the Secretary that 17 members would attend from this city. On motion by Councilman Elder, secondec by Councilman Anderson and duly carried the offer was accepted. Halmac Sound Service A communication was received regarding fees ~nd ~e-~u]~a-tion ~[ 'a ~nobile sound system to operate on the streets of South San Francisco. The Clerk was instmacted to advise him to refer to t~e~city ordinance. APPLICATION FOR BUSINESS LICENSE William A. Borba and Attillio Fregosi made application to engage in the business of Grocery, meat and delicatseen at 615 Linden Avenue. On motion by Councilman Boido, seconded by CounciLman Elder and duly carried the peEnit was granted. INSTALLATION OF STORAGE TANK IRfION 0IL C0~PANY of California asked permission to instal ~ unde~- ground storage tanks at Linden and Baden Avenues. Fire Chief Welte advised the Board that the notice was posted February 26, 1946. On motion by Councilman Elder, Seconded by Councilman Anderson and regularly carried the Detroit was granted. T RESOL~JTION NO. 1080 Amending Res. #1078 Councilman Elder introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco amending Resolution No. 1076 for the holding of a muni- cipal election April 9, 1946. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the city council. Counoilman Elder introduced a resolution of ~he City of South San Francisco amer~.ing Resolution No. 1076 for tli~e holding of a muni- cipal election April ~, 1.m46. ~The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the city council. Recorded in Vol. 4, Book of Resolutions, page RESOLUTION NO. lO@l Amending Ord. #245 Councilman Anderson introduced a resolution of the ~Gity of South San Francisco amending Ordinance No. 245 calling for a Special Election to submit to the voters a proposal to incur an indebtedness for a central police station. The re- solution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the .city. council. Recorded.in Vol. 4, Book of Resolutions page r3~39-40. ~N~-'~'.N IS ~E D BUSI NES~ License refund City Attorney Coleberd advised the City Council tl~at the figures as submitted by the Western Pipe and Steel Company for a refund of city license paid in 1.q45, at the meeting of March 4, 1946, appeared to 'be ~in order, but that a sworn statement should be made by the company. The Clerk was in- structed to ask the Western 2i~pe and Steel Company to swear to the statement as to its correctness. NEW BUSINESS FIRE STATION Fire Chief Welte asked if some action could he taken regarding the selection of a site for the new fire station. Mayor Holston e. ppointed a committee of three councilmen to look into the matter of selecting the site. Counci~nen Anderson, Minucciani and Boido and Fi~e Cheif Welte were appointed on this committee. PLANNING ADVISORS Messers Campbell and Hau of Burlingame were introduced by Mark Laz~vood as planning advisors. Mr. Hahn addressed tO~e city council outlining the work they do in the way of city planning. After discussion, Mayor Holston advised Mr. Hahn to look over the city and maps and advise the Council the cost of such a survey. RANCHO BURI BURI N~,. Andrew Recca asked the City Counc~.l if the map of Rancho Buri ~. Butt was ready to be presented to the Planning Con~nission. City Attorney Coleberd advised t~at nothing can be done until certificate of annexation is returned from the Secretary of State.
