PLACE: TI'ME CALL TO ORDER: MINUTES: Council Chambers, City Hal-l, South San Francisco, Calif. 8.00' o' clock p. m. Present, Councilmen G. W. Hols~on. 'Chas. K. Elger,-Leo Ferko, Adoloh Sani, ~ilio ~,.or~esi ~ Y, ayor Leo Ferk$ called the meetmng to orde;~ at 8:00 o'clock p. m. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read. There being no errors or omission they ':~ere approved as read. P. R. BLYTHE addressed a communication to t~he city council asking for the rezoning of Lot $ Block A, Peck' s Sub. which lot adjoins property previously rezoned for the location of an auto court. referred to the Planning Conm~ ss ion Edward Keeble addressed a communication to the city council en- closing a bond for $500.00 to cover any damage which migat be done in connection with the filling of 20 acres ~,f lm~d owned by the South ~an Francisco Land Co. known as Parcel 8 Zone I, asking permission to carry on such operati'ons. On motion by Councilman Sani, seconded by Counci.~nan Cortesi and rezularly ca~rie~d permission was granted. CHAS. T. EROUG~TON addressed a communication to the city council ~'~vin~ an estimate of the improvements of streets in Burl Burl Rancho as folIows: Sanitary smd s~o~ sewers, including m~holes catch basins and appu~en~ces thereto ~ 75,718.50 Pavmno, curbs, gutters, concrete sidewalks street lighting and u~erground pipe for telephone a~ power 206.240.00 bot~ ~281,964.50 Co~uni cat ion ordered filed. B. J. Rodondi addressed a comuunication to the city cot~acil attachinz a map of the location of the proposed fire house site giving a price of ~10~500.00 for lots 3, 4: and E. ~ of Lots 5, Block 138. Ordered filed. Brentwood Company addressed a ce~munication to the city council advising that an area for recreation and playground would be incouded in Subdivision ~o. 3 ~',,~ap which is now being prepared. RESOLD~ ION #1093 r/w deed Bu~i Bu~i RES0 LTj~ I0N #10 94 Plans and Spec. Burl Buri The City Clerk then presented a deed ~. Duri Burl Homes, Inc conveying to -the City of South San Franc~ scs a right of way for the construction and maintenance of water pipes~ gas pipes, conduits for electric wires, conduits for telephome wires and sewers, in the land described in the resolution next hereinafter mentioned. Thereupon Resolution No. 1093 was introduced by Councilman Elder. U-~on motion by Com~ciLman Elder and seconded by Councilman Sani and regularly carried, said resolution No. 1093 was aSopted. ~lecorded in Vol 4 of Resolutions at page ~5~. The City Clerk then presented to the city council a documen~ entitled "Waiver of provisions of Special Assessment ,-retest Act ~ Investigation, Limitation and ~lajoriby ~ " which waiver was executed by Burl Burl Homes, Inc. There- upon said waiver was filed. The Works Engineer then presented to the City Council the plans and specifications entitled "Plans and specifications for the construction of improvements in the tract of land shovm on the map of Rancho Burl Burl, South San Francisco~ California". ~esolution No. 1094, entitled "Resolution adopting plans and specifications", was t~en introduced by Co~mcilman Holston. Upon motion by Councilman Holston seconded by Councilman Sani and regularly car-~,ied, said resolution No. 1094 was a~ooted. Recorded in Vol 4 of Resolutions at pages 56-57-~8"59 and 60. Streets E. uri Burl FIRE CMIEF LEAVE OF ABSENCE AD JOURN~f~NT TO ~.~onday, April 29 Thereupon, Resolution of Inteotion No. 10~95, entitled "A res61ution of the City Council of the ,~ity of South San Francisco declaring its intention to improve streets and other areas ir. the subdivision of said C~.ty of South San Francisco known as Rancho Burl ~uri", was introduced by Councilman Sani. Upon ~otion by Councilman San!_ second- ed by Councilman Cortesi and regularly carried, sai~ resoluNon of intention was adopted. Recorded in Vol 4 of Resolutions at pages 6~ and 82'~ Julio DiBasilio addressed the city council statins that it was his opinion that the new fire house should be centrally located in order to accommodate the new Sub- divisions. Residents of Soutt~vood asked that a policman be stationed at E1 Camino Real and Orange Avenue during the peakbour of traffic. Police Chief Belloni atated that he was short of help at the present time. Fire Chief Welte asked For one month's leave of absence cormaencing ~.~ay 16, 1946, ~n order to visit his 5aushter in t.~ east. On motion by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Cortesi and re~larly carried permission was grant ed. On motion by Councilman Elder seconded by Councilman ,2ani and re~larl? carried the meeting adjourned to Y. onday evening Aoril 29~ 1946, at 8 o'clock p. m. Time of adjournment 10.10 p. m.
