PLACE: TIS~: ROLL CALL: CALL TO ORDER: MINUTES: Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco. V:00 o'clock p.m. Present: Councilmen Geo. 0. Holston, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani. ~-~ Absent: councilman Emilio Cortesi Mayor Ferko called the meeting to order at V:00 o'clock p.m. On motion duly made, seconded and regularly carried reading of the min- or ~he~p~evi0us.~me®~i~r was dispensed with. utes ORDINANCE #252 Deputy Tax Collector: An ordinance of the city of South San Francisco creating the office of deputy tax collector was read for the first time. RESOLUTION #ll&l STORM SEWER EASE~ENT: Councilman Holston introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco accepting deed from CaliforniaPaciftc Title Insurance Co. covering an easement for storm sewer. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of the council members present. BRASS FOUNDRY: DALY PERMIT: AVALON PARK: The Planning Commission addressed a communication to the city council ad~'sinE that at their regular meeting a motion had been carried approving the proposal of Mr. Tyroler to establish a Brass and Aluminum foundry on Bayshore Highway, providing there were no fumes, odors or objectionable noises. At.the same time the Commission felt more time should be given to the study of this application before a permit was granted. On motion of councilman Elder, seconded by councilman Sani, and regularly married the matter was referred back to the Planning Commission for fUrther study. Communication was received from'the Planning Commission recommending that D. J. Daly be permitted to construct homes as requested, provided that houses were built on lots having a frontage of not less than 40 feet, ~ud that the building inspector be so instructed. Councilman Elder moved, and councilman Sani seconded the motion, that the Planning Commission recommendation be accepted and the City Cl~k Dotify ~e Building Inspect- or accordingly. The Planning Commission addressed a communication tothe City Council recommending the adoption of the Avalaon Park sub-division map. On moron duly made, seconded and regularly carried the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted.~ RESOLUTION #1142~ salary increase: Chief of Police Bel~oni recommended that the application of Lasar Avelar to keep his cigar store open until 2:00 a.m. be denied. On motion duly made, seconded and regularly carried Lasar Avelar's request was denied. Councilman Sant introduced a resolution of the ~ity of South San FrancisCo fixing the salaries of specified persons effective Sept. l, 1946. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of the council members present. PLANNING SURVEY: Mr. Campbell, of Hahn, Campbell & Associates, addressed the council with reference to planning survey and stated a thorough survey of the city would require approximately 90 days~ at au estimated cost of $~100.
