The undersigned members of the City Council of South San Francisco hereby call a special meeting.of said City Council to be held on Friday, the 13th day of September, 19~6, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock p.m. in the City Hall of said city, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a resolution to approve a project statement submitted by the Division of Highways of khe~tate of California for the~construction of an underpass on Grand Ave. under the main line tracks of the Scmthern Pacific Co., and for a&l such other business as may be incident thereof. We hereby waive notice of time of said meeting and consent to the transaction thereat of any and all such business as may regularly come before said City Council. PLACE: TIE: ROLL CALL: MINUTES: City Hall, South San F~ancisco. 5:00 o'clock p.m. Present: Geo.W. Holston, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sa~$, Emilio Cortesi. Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. RESOLUTION #114~: Councilman Elder introduced a resolution of the City of South San Grand Ave. und~r- Francisco approving budgetting 1/~ Streets of Major Importance funds pass - $18,000. in the amount of $18,000., and authorizing John E. Estes, Works Engineer~, to sign project statement with the Division~of Highways. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of ~ll members of the city council. COLMA CREEK: Works Engineer Estes addressed a communication to the city council advising that he had made arrangements with Guy F. Atkinson Co. to clean out the bed of Colma Creek, services to be in exchange for the materials dredged, and the entire cost t~ be borne by Guy F. Atkinson Co. Councilman Sani moved, seconded by councilman Elder, that the action of~he Works Engineer be approved. The motion was regularly carried. Councilman Elder moved that the Works Engineer be given authority to Dave two alleys that were left unpaved in Village Way. Councilman Cortesi seconded the motion and same was regularly carried. PIOM~O BROS. BLASTING: Piombo Bros. were reported as doing b~asting within the city limits without he proper license or bond. Motion was duly made, seconded, and regularly carried that these operations be suspended until the necessary license was obtained~ and bond in the amount of $200,000. was deposited with the city. Mr. Thomas Gonzales made application for license to engage in fountain business at 208 Linden Ave. Motion was duly made, seconded, and regularly carried that permit be granted subject to approval of the Health Dept. ADJOURNMENT: On motion of councilman Sani, seconded by councilman Elder, the counci~ adjourned until Monday, September 16, 19~6, at 8:00 p.m. ~ime of adjournment 5:4~ p.m. Mayor Respectfully submitted y Clerk
