Council Chambers, City Hall, Sout~ San Francisco 7:50 o'clock p.m.. Present: Councilmen Oh-as. K. Eld.er,. Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani. Absent.: _ Councilmen G. ~¥..Holston, Emilio Cortesi CALL TO ORDER: ~ii NU TES: Nayor Ferko called the meeting to order at V:~8 p.m. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. C~uncilman Cortesi arrived at ~:80 p.m. ORDINANCE #~87: DOGS: Ordinance No. ~, relating to the licensing of dogs, had its second reading, and same wa~ adopted by the unanimous vote of all member~ of the city council.who were present. RESOLUTION #11~0: Councilman Sani introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francis~ executing right of way contract with the State of California with refer- ence to Federal jurisdiction over tidewaters and public rights of navi- ~gation a~d fisheries. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of the members of the city council present. Councilman Sani moved, seconded Sy councilman Cortesi, that salary of Deputy Tax Collector be s~t at ~. per month to take effect when Ordinance #~$~ becomes effective. The motion was regularly carried. STREET DEPT. TRUCK: The possible purchase of a new truck for the Street Dept. was discussed, but no action was taken. The matter of removing poles from Grand Ave. was brought up. Er. Robinson, of the P~Dific Gas & Electric Co., read a letter which he stat~ the company ~esired ~omail to each property owner advising of the intend- ed removal of the poles from Grand Ave. The members of the ~ty council present were agreeable to the mailing of this letter. ADJOURN~iENT: As Nr. Cleminshaw was present to discuss matter of appraisal of the city, after the council adjourned, councilman Elder moved, seconded by council. man Sani, that the meeting adjourn until the next regular meeting, Nonda~ November ~, 194~, at 8:00 p.m. Notion was regularly carried.
