Mayer Ferko' asked if the~e wre any obJeg~ioe8 to the re-.oning of the Lindenville area. There being none; an ordinance was introdmced establishing industrial, business and resident- ial districts or zones in the City of ~outh San Francisco and expressly repealing 'oral[thence No. 117 of the City of South San Pra~isco, passed and adopted May 4, 1925. Works Engineer suggested that Orange Avenue be improved, the cost of same 'to come out of ~$ ~m~ ~am~.~ ~ Aa nothing had been heard frmm the State -with reference to the release ~f t~e $1~',0OO.00 approved for Grand Avenue Und~r~ass, it was decided to hold over the im- provement of Orange Avenue until something was heard frma the ~tate. Mayer Ferko stated he had received letter from the Federal ~crks ~gency and telegrams from Congressman Anderson and Senator Xnowland advising that funds had been approved for Sewep Pre-treatment Plante RESOL~0N NO..? ~.].2~Oouncilean Semi introduced a resolution that the city enter+ into an &~reement with ~dhn 1212 AGREEMENT ~i"}~. Estes to prepare plan for the construction of a Pre-treatment Plant for industrial WITH WORKS E~. waste. This resolution was adopted By the unanimous vote of all members of the council PRE-~~ PT. present. USED CAR LOT PECKS LOTS~ Petition signed by.various residents of Pecks Lots was presented objecting to a used car business on Randol~e. The City Attorney was'asked to look into this matter. ASSISTANT BUILD- INU, INSPECTOR: Councilman Holeton moved, seconded by Councilaan SaM, that Nello Certiberi be appointed assistant bui~ling inspector at a salary of $235 & month, Plus car allewance. The motion was regularly carried. The matter of, appointin~ a full time poundman was discussed and the matter was laid over for ftt~ther consideration. PLAY GR(NJND: The Boy Scouts,. through Councilman Cortesi, requested use of a city truck t° pick up waste paper. As the matter of insurance covering the City liability in such eases was not clear, this matter was laid over. Mr. C. J. Simms addressed the Council with reference to the discing of lots t° remove the weeds. He stated he could do this Job' for approximately $3.50 per lot..Decision on this mahter was laid over ~ntil next meeting. S~perintendent o~ Streets Schweining stated various play ground' equipment had been taken from the Orange Avenue Park sometime Thursday evening. He was requested to make a full report on this subject. BUDGETS Mayor Ferk~ stated hearing on Budgete weuld be held Saturday May 17, at 9:30 a.m. and asked that all department heads have their budgets. ~Prepared by May 15.
