ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD MONDAY, JULY 28, 19~7

Present: Councilmen G. W. Holston,.Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio
Cortesi..
Meeting was called to order at A:AO p.m.
Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
Motion was duly made, seconded and carried, that bids for the construction of sewer
between South Magnolia and South Spruce Aves. be opened.
The following bids were submitted: Gabriel Construction Co. $2993.2&, L. C. Smith
$ 853.50.
The Gabriel Construction Co. being the lower bidder, resolution was introduced by
Councilman Cortesi awarding contract for the construction of a sewer between South
Magnolia Ave.aand South Spruce Ave. to the Gabriel Construction Co. in the amount of
$2993.2~. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City
Council.
Mayor Ferko asked if there were any written or oral protests against the improvement work
to be done in Buri Burl #2 Subdivision. There were none.
Councilman Sani introduced a ,eeelution ordering improvement work in the Buri Buri #2
Subdtvision~ This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the
Gity Council.
City Attorney Coleberd suggested that the proceedings for the coming bond election be
submitted to Attorneys in San Francisco. Councilman Elder moved, seconded ~y Council-
man Holston, that the proceedings be submitted to Orrick, Dahlqu~st, Neff, Brown &
Herrington for approval. Motion was regularly carried.
Catholic Daughters of America requested permission to hold dance August 23rd. ~ot~on
was duly made, seconded and carried, that permission be granted.
On motion of Councilman Holston, seconded by Councilman Sani and regularly carried, the
meeting was adjourned to August ~, 19~7 at 8 o'clock p.m.
