OCTOBER 15,.19~7 Council Chambers, City Hall. 7.30 p.m. Present: Counc.i~me9 G. W. Holston,'Chas. K. Elder, Lgo Ferko, Adolph Sani, ~ailio Cortesi. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ferko at 7:30 p.m. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting wasdispensed withy City Attormey Coleberd addressed the ~eeting with regard to Ordinances No. 169 and 170 and stated that these two ordinances were unconstitutional and should be repealed. Mr~ Richard Dolwig, representing Roccasalva Bros. ~nd M~.. Thcs. Bocci representing Mr. L. Caron asked that a change be made in the closing ordinances. Mr. James Healey, represemting a number of merchants, asked that the City Co.uncil consider before re- pealing'the~e ordinances. A number of persons present addressed the Council asking 'that'a change be made whereby stores could remain open Sundays and evenings. Mayor Ferko asked Mr. Coleberd to obtain data from the Lea~me of California Cities as to what regulations other cities had with reference, to closing hours. The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the, City Co.uncil.
