C OI%U]ITIONS BURI BUR1 NO. 2: ADJOURNMENT: Council Chambers, City Hall. .7:00 p.m. · Present: Councilmen G. W. Holston, Chas. K, Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Ferko. The City Clerk having forwarded copy of the minutes of the previous meeting to all membens of the City Council, Mayor Ferko asked if any omissions or errors were noted. There being none the minutes were approved as submitted. Waiver 'signed by owners of 5rentwood No. '3 Subdivision, approving adoption of resolution amending Resolution of Intention No. 1255, was presented and filed. Councilman Sani introduced a resolution, which on motion duly made, seconded and carried was read by title only. ~his resolution related to the amendment of Resolu- tion of Intention No. 1255 plans and specifications Brentwood No. 3 Subdivision. This resolution was adopted by the Unanimous vote of all members of the City Council. Councilman Elder introduced a resolution closing up and abandoning certain portions of streets and highways in the Southwood Commercdal Tract as decreed by resolution of intention No. 1262. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Co~mcil. · he matter of conditions in Buri Buri Subdigision No. 1 was now brought uo..Mr. J. Fahey, representing Burl Buri Homes, Inc., addressed the Council and p~esented letter received by Buri Buri Homes signed by Mayor Leo Ferko. This letter was read, informing Buri Buri Homes, as owners, have no interest in the incidental expenses at this time but they would be allowed to protest when assessment roll is presented. Mr. Fahey stated his people were not protesting but would like an item- ized bill covering the engineering and inspection expenses. Mr. Peck, from the Works Engineer Department, stated an accountant was working on these figures bUt they were not ready as yet. Mayor Ferko stated that as soon as these figures were ready a meeting would be called with all concerned. Communications were received from Superintendent of Streets Schweining and the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. setting forth the conditions existing in the Buri Burl No. i Subdivision. Mr. Fahey, on behalf of Burl Buri Homes, inc., stated certain conditions mentioned in the Superintendent of Streets letter ~ould be corrected at an early date but the street lighting condition should be checked into to determine who was at fault. Mr. Carlson, representing the Central Electric Co., stated the work had been done according to plans and specifications. Attorney Dolwig, representing the '¥orks Engineer, answered va, ious questions of Mr. Simpson, Vice-president of Burl Burl Homes, Inc. After a general all around discussion Attorney Rapsey, acting for City Attorney · Coleberd, suggested that the electrical conditions should be checked into to ascertain if the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. were within their rights in rejecting the present layout. Mayor Ferko instructed the Superintendent of Streets to call in an expert from the Pacific Gas & Electric Co.'and check into the lighting system and also check over the plans and specifications and make a report to the City Council. Mr. Simpson stated the matter of signing contract for work in Buri Burl No. 2 would be checked into and the incidental expenses would be paid at an early date.
