PROPERTY EXCHANGE: ADJOURNMENT: ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, .19A8. Council Chambers, City Hall .. 7:$0 p.m. Present: Councilmen G. W. Holston, Chas. K. Elder, Adolph ~ani, F~nilio Cortesi. Absent: Mayor Leo Ferko Councilman ~ move% seconded by Councilman Elder, ~hat Councilman Holston act as Mayor during the absence of Mayor Ferko. Motion was regularly carried. The meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Holston at 7:00 p.m. Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. As the American Trust C~mpany was thJ lowest bidder on the $365,000.00 Municipal Improvement Bonds, Councilman Sani introduced a resolution accepting the proposals of the American Trust Company to pu:chase said bonds. This resolution wes adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council present. Motion was duly made, seconded ~nd regularly carried~that checksbe returned to the unsuccessful bidders on the bond sale. Communication from the ~hambe¥ of Commerce, referring to the extension of Spruce Avenue, which was laid over ~rom the previous meeting, was taken up. After a great deal of discussion it was decided to bring all interested parties together at a meeting, there- fore Councilman Sani moved, seconded by Councilman Elder, that a meeting be held Monday, February 9th at 8:00 p.m., at Which all coneerned in this project would be invited. Motion was regularly carried. Communication from the Chamber of Commerce referring to the improvement of Linden Avenue which was laid over from the previous meeting was taken up. The Works Engineer was instrucbed to check on the grade of Linden Avenue and this matter would be further discussed at the meeting to be held on February 9th. Communication from the Recreation Commission~referring to the exchange of City property fo~ School property~which was laid over from the previous meeting ~was again read. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the recommendation of the Recreation Commtision be approved. On moti&n of Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Elder and resxlarly carried, the meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, February 9th, 19~8 at 8:00 p.m. Time of adjournment - 8:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted, APPROVED: Mayor
