'T. he meeting was called to order by Mayor Ferko at 7:30 p.m. STATE HIG~?AY NAINTEN .ANCE: RESOLUTI. ON NO. 1314 GAS TAX AGREEMENT: .Communiqation was received from the Division of Highways enclosing agreement for the maintenance of State High~ay in the City of South San Francisco. Same was referred to the City Attorney for resolution. Communication was received from the Division of Highways enclosing agreement providing for the exDenditure of 1/AC gas tax for State Highways. Councilman Sani introduced a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign this agreement. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all aembers of the City Council. KEN ROYCE CO.: ENGI~S, LTD.: ~AR ASSETS - BELAIR PROPERTY: Application .of Ken Royce Co. for b~lding permit, which was laid over from previous meeting, was taken up. On mQtion duly made, seconded and carried permit was granted. ~pplication of Engineers, Ltd. to construct building at Spruce and Canal Streets, laid over from the previous meeting, was taken up. On motion duly made, seconded and carried permit was granted. Telegrams andcommunications from Congressman Anders~n and War Assets AdmJ. nistration with reference to the Belair Property were read. Offer of the City of ~15,000 for 25.27 acres was turned down by the "~ar Assets Administration, and value set was $~A,225.~ City Clerk was instructed to send Dopy of the War Asse~s Administration letter to the City of San ~r~o. SPRUCE AVE~IE EXTENSION: Communication was received from ChaiN~an Victor E. Robinson of the Road Committee on the extension of Spm~ce Avenue. The dommittee ~eq~ste4~a-mAp-~showinF~he exact location of Spruce. Avenue and the route under consideratiDn. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the Works Engineer furnish the necessary road map. MINI~CIANI ~LDG. PERMIT: Michael Minucciani submitted a request to construct four 3 or L room ~partme~ts at the corner of Baden and Orange Avenues and advised that he wonld advance the s~n of ~25.00 to ~mend the present Zonin~ Ordinance. This matter was referred to the Plannin~ Com- mission. BUSI ~'~ESS LICENSES: Ralph Guerrero applied for a license to engage in the business of makinm Mexican food at 223 Grand Avenue. Notion was duly made, seconded and carried that permit be granted subject to the approval of the Health Inspector. Y~nate Bros. submitted application for license to engage in the manufacturing of Soy Sauce at 74 South Linden Avenue. As the approval of the Health Inspector accompanied this application, motion was duly made, seconded and carried that permit be granted. HARTFORD INSURANCE CO: Communication was received from the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co. enclosing two sets. of endorsements with reference to the Burl Burl Subdivision coverage. This com- m~mication was referred to the City Attorney. SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT: Mr. J. E. Peck of the ~orks Engineer's Office stated an estimate of $600,000.00 had been made on the proposed new disposal plant. This included $15,0OO.00 offer for. the site. · He also stated application had been made to the State Department of Public Health for the necessary authority to proceed with this plant, and until, this application had been approved he could not say whether there would be any changes made. As no definite plans were in sight the matter was laid over for further consideration. ' RESOLUTION NO. 1315 BILLBOARDS: ADJ OUR~T: Councilman Ho!ston introduced a resolution orotesting against the erection and maintenance of billboards in the vicinity of the new freeway. Thds resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council.
