HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1948-03-08¸3O PLACE: EXCHANGE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY: A letter dated March &th, written by Mayor Ferko to the Secreation Co~_m~osion referring to the exchange of City and ~chool properties, was read. Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that the Mayor's action be approved. Communication was received from the Recreation C_~m-tssion recommending the acceptance of proposal as outlined at the Joint meeting of the $chool Board, members of the City Council and Recreation Commission, held March 3rd. It was regmlarly moved, seconded and carried that the Recreation Commission' z recommendation be accepted. RE~P~TION Motion was du~r. made, seconded and carried that the action taken at the Joint meeting of March 3rd, as outlined in Mayor Ferko' s' letter of ~Arch &th, be approved and the School Board be advised accordingly.. The Works Engineer a~d CityAttorney were instructed to draw up the necessary description of property involved and resolution covering ea~e. CommUnication was received' from the Recreation Commission advising that plans and specifications for the three reereation buildings, as ~ubmitted by Architect Rowe, were a,proved, and recommended the acceptance of sene. Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that the recommendation of. the Recreation Commission be. accepted. City Attorney was instructed to proceed for the calling of Bids on the recreation buildings. B~L.A.IR PROPERTY, Telegra~ was received frcaCongreseemn Anderson addressed to Mayor Ferko suggesting that offer, of $~,225.00be made to.the War Assets Administration to cover Belair Property. Motion was duly Mde, seconded and carried that the Mayor be authorized to make offer o~ sewage disposal plant land as set forth in telegram from Congressman Anderson. Mr. Peek of the ~ork8 EmgineerDepartment and Mr. White, City Eagineer of San Bruno were authorized to contact the War Assets Administration with reference to this matter. CATHOLIC DAUG~T~ DANOE: ADJOURNMENT: Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that the Catholic Daughters of America be granted peredssion to hold dance March 17th. On action of Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilmn Holaton and regularly carried, meeting was adjourned to March 15th at 8:00 p.m. Time of adjournment - 5:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted,
