ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 19l~9.
Council Chambers, City Hall.
3:00 p.m.
Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Leo Ferko and Adolph Sani.
Absent: Councilmen Chas. K. Elder and Emilio Cortesi.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ferko at 3:00 p.m.
The Sterling Building Co. being the lowest bidder on the installation of a concrete
storm drain in the Martin School area, Councilman Sani introduced a resolution
awarding the contract to the Sterling Building Co. in the amount of $6,950. This
resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council present.,
Cards received by the City Clerk demanding the investigation with reference to the
improvement of South Linden Avenue amounted to approximately 7% of the area. A card
was received from Ken R~yce on August 16, 19~9. As the required number of property
owners were in accord with the improvement of South Linden Avenue, Councilman Boido
introduced a resolution declaring the city's intention to improve Linden Avenue between
the southerly boundary line of Railroad Avenue and the .southerly termination of Linden
Avenue,. and San Mateo Avenuer from the southerly termination of Linden Avenue to the
southerly boundary line of South San Francisco. This resolution was adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members cfc the City ~ouncil present.
Request of Peninsula Ice Co. to install an automatic ice vendor in the Cape Esperance
Housing Project, (laid over from previous meeting), was taken up. As there was a
question regarding how this territory was zoned the matter was referred to the City
Attorney.
On motion of Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried the
meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, September 6th at 8:~O p.m.
