CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT TO STATE ROOFING SYSTEMS, INC. OF SAN
LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA, FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 62
ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $142,685 AND AMENDING THE 2014-2015
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO APPROPRIATE
AN ADDITIONAL $60,000 FROM GENERAL FUND
RESERVES TO PROJECT NO. PF1503
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for
the Fire Station No. 62 Roof Replacement Project ("Project") and on April 2, 2015, received six
(6)bids in response; and
WHEREAS, State Roofing Systems Inc. of San Leandro, California, was the lowest
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the construction contract to State Roofing
Systems Inc. ("SRS") of San Leandro, California, in an amount not to exceed$142,685; and
WHEREAS, the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2014-2015
Capital Improvement Program ("CIP") and additional funds in the amount of$60,000 need to be
appropriated to the Project from the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the Fire Station No.
62 Roof Replacement Project to State Roofing Systems, Inc. of San Leandro, California, in an
amount not to exceed $142,685, conditioned on SRS's timely execution of the Project contract
and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, certificates of insurance
and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
authorizes a budget amendment by appropriating an additional $60,000 to the Project, funded by
General Fund Reserves.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
documents on behalf of the City upon timely submission by State Roofing Systems, Inc.'s signed
contract and all other documents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13"1 day of
May, 2015 by the following vote:
