CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE CITY
OF SAN MATEO FOR THE HOME CONSORTIUM
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") is a member of the San Mateo
County HOME Consortium ("Consortium"). The City joined the Consortium since the City is
not eligible for HOME funding as a stand-alone public entity; and
WHEREAS, the City has an existing cooperation agreement with San Mateo County
formalizing the City's membership and participation in the Consortium ("Existing Agreement");
and
WHEREAS, the City of San Mateo has decided to join the Consortium and therefore the
City must execute a new cooperation agreement between the County of San Mateo and City of
San Mateo ("Cooperation Agreement") and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of the Cooperation Agreement remain the same as
the Existing Agreement
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the City Council hereby takes the following actions:
1. Approves the Cooperation Agreement, attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A.
2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the
City, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
3. Authorizes the City Manager to take any other related actions consistent with the
intent of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of
June 2015 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Mark N. Addiego and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
NOES: None
