WATER SERVICE COMPANY: COMMENTS - MARINA DEVELO PMENT: AD JOURNMENT: 7:00 p.m. Council Chambers, City Hall The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ahem at 7:07 p.m. Present: Absent: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, and Frank Bertucelli. None. City Attorney Noonan remarked that Mr. Reisch, Attorney for Mr. Botieff, called him and stated tha~ Mr. Botieff was withdrawing his objection to the Use Permit of the Bay Area Company; both the Use Permit and Mr. Botieff's resubdivision request having been continued to tonight from the last regular meetieg c~the Council. .He further remarked that it was in order for Council to grant the Use Permit and resubduvisiou if they so desired. Discussion followed, after which Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by Councilman Bertucelli and regularly carried, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved and accepted and the resubdivisiou, as applied for by William .Botieff, be approved. Council next took up the matter of Use Permit Resolution No. 1640 as applied for by The Bay Area Company. Director of Pub- lic Works Goss requested the inclusion of the'condition that curb, gutter, sidewalk and parking area paving be installed. Mr. Tamboriui stated that the plan~ and specifications contained these provisions. Fire Chief Marchi requested the inclusion of fire alarm box and hydrant installation at the corner of Coun- try Club Drive and E1 Camino Real. Mr. Tamboriui remarked that this as well was to be provided. Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Councilman Rozzi and regularly carried, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission ou Use Permit Resolutio'~ No. 16~0 be approved and accepted, permission granted subject to the recommendation of the Director of Public Works re~arding the installatiOn of curb, gutter, sidewalk and paving of the area, and further recommen- dation of the Fire Chief regarding the installation of the fire alarm box and fire hydrant. City Attorney Noonan at this time brought up the matter of the application of California Water Service Company to the Planning Commission requesting permission to resubdivide a portion of their land at Chestnut and E1Cami~o Real. This had come be- fore the Council at their last meeting with recommendation for denial, and which had been scheduled for Public Hearing at the request of the applicant on October 21, 1963. He remarked that a letter dated September 6, 1963, had been received f~om the California Water Service Company requesting the matter be re- ferred back to the Planning Commission. He further Stated if Council followed this request there would be no need for a Hear- ing. Mayor Ahem asked City Attorney Noonan if CounCil could cancel the Public Hearing and refer back, to which he replied they could. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Councilman Bertuoelli and regularly carried, that the Public Hearing be cancelled and the matter referred back to the Planning Commission. There being nothing further, Mayor Ahem asked if any member of the Council had anything they wis~ed to offer under Good and Welfare. There being none, he asked if any member of the aud- ience had anything they wished to offer. Mr. Nello~Sciandri, on behalf of the South San Francisco Rod and Gun Club, expressed their appreciation for the City's development of the Boat Harbor and cited the future developments that the Rod and Gun Club would be undertaking shortly. There being nothing further, Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, that the meeting be adjourned to Monday, September 16, 1963, at 8:00 p.m. Time of adjournment: 7:29 p.m. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED, APPR :
