Due to the absence of Reverend David Donnelly of Westside Baptist Church, uo invoca- tion was given. P~esent: Absent: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahem, Frank Bertucelli, Emilio Cortesi, and Andrew Rocca. Councilman Guido J. Rozzi. Mayor Ahem asked if there was a motion approving the minutes of the regular meeting of July 6, 1964. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Councilman Bertucelli and reg- ularly carried, that the minutes of the regular meeting of July 19~4, be approved as submitted. Mayor Ahem then asked if there was a motion approving the regular claims as submitted for payment. Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and reg- ularly carried, that the regular clains totaling $81,089.59 be a~proved for payment. Mayor Aheru then asked if there was a motion approving the claims for Parking District No. I as submitted for payment. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Councilman Bertucelli and reg- ularly carried, that the claims as submitted for Parking District Nc. 1, totaling $171.31, be approved for payment. Butler Road Assessment District Claim: Woodward-Clyde-Sherard and Associates claim dated June 27, 1964, in the amount of $421.25 for engineering and testing services. Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and reg- ularly carried, that the claim as submitted for the Butler Road Assessment District be approved for payment. Lowrie-Bothin Assessment District Claim: McKeegau Electric Co., Inc. claim in the amount of $413.00 for installing fire alarm box at Lowrie Avenue. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Oouncilmau Bertucelli and reg- ularly carried, that the claim as submitted for the Lowrie-Bothin Assessment District be approved for payment. Person and Swanson Assessment District Claim: Enterprise-Journal claim dated June 25, 1964, in the amount of $75.85 for advertising ou the vacation of San Bruno Road. Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and reg- ularly carried, that the claim as submitted for the Person and S'~auson Assessment District be approved for payment. South San Francisco Industrial Park No. 3 Claims: (b) Enterprise-Journal claim dated June 25, 1964, in the amount of $T6.75 for advertising on the vacation of a public util- ity easement in South San Francisco Industrial Park No. 3. NO. 348: 2nd Reading/Adoption ORDINANCE NO. 508 PLUMBING CODE ADOPTION SAN MATEO COUNTY AMENDING ORD. NO. 319: 2nd Reading/Adoption ORDINANCE -- REZONING NEIGHBORHOOD 18 - WESTBOROUGH: 1st Reading/ Iutroduction The next item for Council attention was the 2nd reading and adop- tion of the ordinance entitled: "ORDIYANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF HID~EY BOULEVARD EXTENSION WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A PART OF THE COUNTY HIGHWAY SYSTEM OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATE0". Mayor Ahem remarked that at the Council's study session meeting eaelier iu the afternoon the Attorney for the residents of Winston Ma.tot, whose services they had secured, appeared and asked for a continuance of Due week in which to study the matter. He stated that he had been contacted the Thursday previously and had not had sufficient time to fully study this subject. There being no objections, Mayor Ahem continued this item to the adjourned meeting to be held Monday, July 27, 1964, at which time Council would take its action. City Attorney Noonan explained the ordluance which was ready for its second reading and adoption, stating that a motion could be adopted by Council if they so desired ~hat reading of the i ordinance iT its entirety be waived and that it be passed and adopted by the reading of title only.
