The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pa:rick E. Ahern at 8:02 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. The invocation was given by
Reverend Donald Wertz of Good News Chapel i~ place of Reverend Irvin Tweet of
Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church.
Present:

Andrew Rocca, and Guido J. Rozzi.
None.
Mayor Ahern at this time called on Dave Sumbardo, Administrative Assistant for
the City, for the presentation of the City's third annual Clean Up-Paint Up-
Fix Up Campaign award. Mr. Sumhardo hriefl'/ explained the method which was used
in judging cities and the organization which sponsors this event annually. He
then introduced the Chairman for this year, Bob Lamhertson, who introduced two
of the Committee members present, after which he presented the City's award to
Mayor Ahern. Mayor Ahern, in accepting the award, expressed the thanks of the
City to all who helped in achieving this award.
Mayor Ahern at this time asked if there was a motion approving the minutes of
the regular meeting of February 1, 1965, as well as a correction to the minutes
of December 7, 1964, to show that the Solomon-Mahie Annexation Ordinance received
its first reading and introduction at the regular meeting of December 7, 1964.
Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Councilnan Bertucelli and regularly carried,
~hat the minutes of the regular meeting of ?ehruary 1, 1965, and the correction
to the minutes of December 7, 1964, he appr3ved as submitted.
Mayor Ahern then asked if there was a motion approving the regular claims as
submitted for payment.
Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, that
=he regular claims totaling $33,147.58 he a3proved for payment.
Mayor Ahern then asked if there was a motio~ approving the claims for Parking
District No. 1 as submitted for payment.
Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by CoJncilman Rozzi and regularly carried,
~hat the claims for Parking District No. 1, totaling $60.15, he approved for
payment.

for printing of Improvement Bonds.
Woodward-Clyde-Sherard and Associates claim dated December 23, 1964, in the
amount of $1,101.00 for engineering and testing services from September 28,
1964, to December 16, 1964, inclusive.
Testing Engineers, Incorporated claim dated December 31, 1964, in the
amount of $135.00 for tests and inspections for the period ending December
31, 1964. Invoice No. 352.
Testing Engineers, Incorporated claim dated December 31, 1964, in the
amount of $27.50 for concrete inspection. Invoice No. 351.
Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, that
~he claims as submitted for the Butler Roac Assessment District be approved for
~ayment.
Cabot. Cabot & Forbes Industrial Park, Unit No. 1 Claim:
Robert S. Cooper & Associates claim dated January 21, 1965, in the amount of
$536.00 for inspection of site gradin~ and trench backfill.
Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Ccuncilman Rocca and regularly carried,
that the claim as submitted for Cabot, Cahct& Forbes Industrial Park, Unit No. 1

The next item for Council attention was the continued Public Hearing on the AMEND-
~ENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE REZONING TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-1 DIS-
TRICT) THE PARCEL KNOWN AS WESTBOROUGH UNIT ND. 3 TRACT 817, INCLUDING PARCEL F
~UT EXCLDDING PARCEL E, which was continued from the meeting of February 1, 1965.
This item was continued by the Mayor to the next regular meeting of March 1, 1965,
oending receipt of information from the Planning Commission. At the request of
the Mayor, the City Attorney explained the reason for the need to hold it over.

Mayor Ahern declared the Public Hearing opened on ESTABLISHING ZONING CLASSIFICA-
]'ION FOR A 29-ACRE PARCEL SITE KNOWN AS BERT]~TTA REZONING. He asked if any writ-
ten protests had been received, to which the City Clerk replied none had been re-
ceived by his office. The Mayor then asked ;f anyone present in the audience
wished to register an oral protest. There being none, Mayor Ahern declared the
Public Hearing closed.

50. 5. Mayor Ahe~n ordered this Public Hearing held over for readvertisement of
a new Public Hearing to he held.
Nayor Ahern declared the Public Hearing opened on the AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDI-
kANCE REZONING TO NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT OR C-1 DISTRICT THE PARCEL OF
LA~DGENERALLY BOUNDED BY CHESTNUT AVENUE, TP;E CENTERLINE OF COLMA CREEK, THE
CE~TERLINE OF 12-MILE CREEK AND THE WESTERN ~OUNDARY OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RIGHT
OF WAY (Magliocco-Gomez), asking if any written protests had been received, to

Mayor Ahern commented that this resolution woJld be held over to the next regular
meeting in order that a new Public Hearing could he readvertised with the corrected

City Attorney Noonan explained the next resolJtion, after which Councilman Rozzi

The next item for Council's attention was the first reading and introduction of

CRDINANCE NO. 353, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED 'ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO' PASSED AND ADOPTED AUGUST 10, 1954, AND ESTABLISHING ZONING DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION FOR THE PROPERTY HEREIN DESC{IBED" (Westhorough Unit No. 5).
There being no objections, and at the request of the City Attorney, Mayor Ahern
deferred this ordinance to the next regular meeting.
