CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE WEST
ORANGE AVENUE AND CENTENNIAL WAY PEDESTRIAN
CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for
the West Orange Avenue and Centennial Way Pedestrian Crossing Improvement Project
("Project") and received two (2)bids on April 8, 2015 in response; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the
discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all bids for the Project and offering it for rebid
at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the West Orange Avenue and
Centennial Way Pedestrian Crossing Improvement Project (Project No. tr1402) and directs staff
to advertise for bids again for the Project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of
June 2015 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Mark N. Addiego and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Pradeep Gupta
