HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 58-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 58-2015 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE GRAND AVENUE AND MAGNOLIA AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the Grand Avenue and Magnolia Avenue Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvement Project ("Project") and received three (3)bids on April 21, 2015 in response; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; and WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all bids for the Project and offering it for re-bid at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the Grand Avenue and Magnolia Avenue Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvement Project (Project No. tr1203) and directs staff to advertise again for bids for the Project. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of June 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto and Liza Normandy Vice Mayor Mark N.
