CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT
WITH PETERSON TRUCKS, INC. FOR ONE 2016
INTERNATIONAL DURASTAR WATER TRUCK WITH A
NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $102,108.43.
WHEREAS, vehicle #328, a 1998 Ford F800 water truck has been identified by staff as
having exceeded it useful service life; and
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco routinely replaces vehicles at the end of their
useful service life; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a replacement vehicle is identified and approved as part of
the 2014/2015 Operating Budget; and
WHEREAS, staff sought quotes from International dealerships in Northern and Central
California; and
WHEREAS, of the two responses received, Peterson Trucks, Inc.'s quote was the lowest
quote received; and
WHEREAS, city staff recommends approving a purchase agreement with Peterson
Trucks Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby takes the following actions:
1. Approves a purchase agreement with Peterson Trucks, Inc. for the purchase of
one 2016 International Durastar Water Truck for an amount not to exceed
$102,108.43.
2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the purchase agreement on behalf of the
City of South San Francisco.
3. Authorizes the City Manager to take any other related actions consistent with the
intent of this Resolution.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 861 day of
July 2015 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Mark N. Addiego and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
NOES: None
