CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FOUR
YEAR TERM SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BARRANGO,
MFG., IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $167,085,
FOR THE SUPPLY AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR THE DOWNTOWN SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO OUTDOOR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS.
WHEREAS, on August 5, 2015, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a
Request for Proposals ("RFP") for the purchase, installation, maintenance, and storage of the
downtown South San Francisco outdoor holiday decorations; and
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2015, staff received four (4) proposals for the various
requested professional and specialized decorating services; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2015, a selection committee comprised of City staff
reviewed the remaining three (3) proposals and determined that the proposal from Barrango,
MFG. was the most responsive and offered to provide specialized services and the best quality
decorations; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends authorizing the execution of a four year term the
services agreement for the downtown outdoor holiday decorations in an amount not to exceed
$100,215 for the first year and $22,290 for each of the remaining three (3) years to Barrango,
MFG. in a total amount not to exceed $167,085 for the four-year term; and
WHEREAS, funding for these services was budgeted and approved in the City's FY
201516 operating budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves of the services agreement for holiday
decorations with Barrango, MFG. in a total amount not to exceed $167,085 for a four-year
contract period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the services agreement with Barrango, MFG. in
an amount not to exceed $167,085 for the four-year contract period, conditioned on Barrango,
MFG.'s timely execution of the signed services agreement and all other documents, subject to
approval as to form by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to
take any further action consistent with the intent of this Resolution.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of
September, 2015 by the following vote:
