HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 121-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 121-2015 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $150,000 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA-OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY(OTS)FOR THE "SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM"TO PAY FOR PERSONNEL OVERTIME, EQUIPMENT, TRAINING EXPENSES, AND TRAFFIC SAFETY PRESENTATIONS AND TO AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015/2016. WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of$150,000 for personnel overtime,equipment,training expenses,and traffic safety presentations from the State of California- Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the "Selective Traffic Enforcement Program"; and WHEREAS, the grant funding will be used to augment the operating budget of the Police Department for FY 2015/2016. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts the $150,000 grant from the State of California— Office of Traffic Safety and amends the 2015/2016 Police Department Operating Budget to reflect this increase of funds. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of September, 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy Vice Mayor Mark N.
