HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 127-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 127-2015 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE WEST ORANGE AVENUE AND CENTENNIAL WAY PEDESTRIAN CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. WHEREAS, the pedestrian crosswalk at West Orange Avenue and Centennial Way requires pedestrian crossing improvements; and WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the West Orange Avenue and Centennial Way Pedestrian Crossing Improvement Project ("Project") and received one(1)bid on September 8, 2015 in response; and WHEREAS, the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2015-2016 Capital Improvement Program ("CIP"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; and WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all bids for the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the West Orange Avenue and Centennial Way Pedestrian Crossing Improvement Project(Project No. tr1402). * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of October 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy Vice Mayor Mark N.
