CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTION OF A SERVICES
CONTRACT WITH JDI ELECTRICAL SERVICES, INC, OF
MANTECA, CALIFORNIA FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
THE K3 TRANSFORMER AT THE WATER QUALITY
CONTROL PLANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$111,046.20.
WHEREAS, the plants K3 transformer has reached the end of its useful life and needs to
be replaced to ensure reliable continuous plant operations
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a request for proposals in
September of 2015 and received three (3)bids in response; and
WHEREAS, JDI Electrical Services, Inc. of Manteca, California submitted the lowest
responsive proposal that also minimized plant downtime and overall risk;
WHEREAS, funding for this project is included in the City of South San Francisco's
Water Quality Control Plant operating budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves a services contract for the with JDI Electrical
Services, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $111,046.20
BE IT FUTURE RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
Services Agreement on behalf of the City of South San Francisco, subject to approval as to from
by the City Attorney.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of
October 2015 by the following vote:
