NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the
State of California, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting
on Monday, the 7h day of December 2015, at 7:0O p.m., in the Municipal Services Building, Social
Hall, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California,

MUNICIPAL, SCHOOL AND SPECIAL DISTRICT ALL-MAILED BALLOT
ELECTION OF NOVEMBER 3, 2015,

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution declaring the election
results of the Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot Election
("Consolidated Election") of November 3, 2015.
In accordance with Government Code Section 10264, the following certification of election results
for the November 3, 2015 Consolidated Election is submitted:
Voter registration and turnout:
The number of registered voters: 28,221
The number of ballots cast: 7,561
Percentage of turnout: 26.8%
The votes cast for Cit y Council Candidates:
Rich Garbarino, City Council Member 5,607
Karyl Matsumoto, City Council Member 5,385
The votes cast for Measure W:
Yes votes for Measure W 4,494
The votes cast Against Measure W:
No votes for Measure W 3,007

The Certificate of the Chief Elections Officer and the Final Official Canvass of Votes for the 22
precincts in South San Francisco are attached. Certificates of Election will be prepared for Rich
Garbarino and Karyl Matsumoto as members of the City Council -upon approval of the attached

RESOLUTION NO. -2015
CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED
MUNICIPAL, SCHOOL AND SPECIAL DISTRICT ALL-
MAILED BALLOT ELECTION OF NOVEMBER 3,
WHEREAS, the Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot
Election ("Consolidated Election") was held on November 3, 2015, pursuant to Resolution No.
48 -2015, for the election of two (2) members of the City Council and to consider Measure W;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk presented to the City Council, for its inspection, all returns of
the vote cast, pursuant to California Election Code 10264.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it finds:
1. That there were 28,221 registered voters in the City of South San Francisco and
that 7,561 total ballots were cast in the City of South San Francisco; and
2. That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said General Municipal
Election are as follows:
(a) As regularly-nominated candidates:
Rich Garbarino, City Council Member Council Member
Karyl Matsumoto, City Council Member Council Member
(b) As write-in candidates:
None
3. Election Results
(a) That the record of the votes cast at said Consolidated Election in favor of said
candidates as shown by the official count at each of the several precincts
established throughout said City by said City Council for the purpose of
conducting said Election is as shown on Exhibits "A" and "B" attached
hereto, the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts.
(b) That the total votes cast at said Consolidated Election in favor of Measure W
and said candidates for the Offices of City Council Member as shown by the
official count, and included in the totals set forth on Exhibits "A" and "B", are

4. That the City Council of said City hereby declares as follows:
Rich Garbarino and Karyl Matsumoto were duly elected at said Consolidated
Election as members of the City Council of South San Francisco.
Measure W was duly approved by voters at said Consolidated Election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
1. The City Clerk of said City shall, and is hereby ordered to, issue Certificates of Election
to Rich Garbarino and Karyl Matsumoto as members of the City Council.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Special Meeting held on the 7 td, day of
December 2015 by the following vote:
